6. Performance parameter -Product quality the required purity of the CO 2 -product archieved limits for impurities lower as required (several analysies) product analysis from 26./ 27. August 2009: CO 2 99.99 % O 2, N 2, Ar <0.012 % CO <2 ppmv NO 0,72 ppmv NO 2 11,1 ppmv SO 2 <0.02 ppmv HCL <0.12 ppmv HF <0.28 ppmv heavy metall (total) <0.01 mg/ Nm³ -recovery rate of CO 2 : >90 % The recovery rate is depedened on CO 2 -content in the flue gas. It could be demonstrated that the recovery rate is > 90% (according to the process design). -content of CO 2 in the raw gas: up to 85 vol% -flow rate: approx. 6000 Nm³/h Linde-KCA-Dresden GmbH 7 Filename

6. Performance parameter -liquefaction capacity: The liquefaction capacity is in the expected field. It could be archieved continuous 8 t/h CO 2 -liquifaction with approx. 80 % load of the CO 2 -plant. The capacity of the refrigeration unit (especial refrigerant compressors) was also approx. 80 % load. -load change velocity In the start-up phase the load change velocity was checked without negativ impact of the CO 2 -product quality. First result was 1.8%/ min. Next target will be to achieve : 2.5%/ min. -lowest temperature close to triple point temperature (-56 C) The operation was sucessfull close to the triple point temperature (possible by automatic process controll). -operation with the multi stream heat exchanger (4 streams with condensation, evaporation, heat transfer) The operation with the multi stream heat exchanger ( BAHX) was sucessfull. -using internal CO 2 -recycle for increasing of the recovery rate The internal CO 2 -reclycle was tested sucessfull. 7. Operation experience during restart-up pressurisation finish flow gas flow rate The required CO 2 -product quality is achieved very quickly (approx. 45 min) after restart from cold stand by status.
