The position is within Outlook Employment. The primary role will be to provide the required management & support to staff and assistance for eligible job seekers to find and retain paid employment. Position profile Key Selection Criteria The position is a Management position based at Outlook s employment services division, Outlook Employment. Outlook Employment provides assistance to people with disabilities to find employment in open market place. This role has prime responsibility for the management of one of Outlook Employments three sites including Participant management, staff management, financial management, and future developments of the service that ensure continued growth in the securing sustainable employment opportunities for job seekers. Selection will be based on assessing an applicant s skills, knowledge, past performance & other personal qualities relevant to the work assignment, as listed below. Mandatory Relevant leadership experience in the human services, business or sales field Demonstrated ability in training, mentoring & coaching staff to ensure their performance meets KPI standards Proven experience in managing staff performance Strong management and team building abilities Ability to work within budgetary frameworks. JOB PROFILE The Team Leader is accountable to the Employment Services Manager for performance in the following Key Result Areas: Staff Management Networking, Marketing and Promotion Participant Support and Job Placement Supervise & support open employment service staff Conduct staff performance appraisals & identify training needs. Allocate job seekers & workers to EC s. Monitor Staffing levels & caseloads Monitor staff employment outcomes. Monitor job search & marketing activity of staff. Interview potential job seekers, with staff if required. Discuss Participant issues with staff as required Assist ESM in the employment process for new staff Team Leader to maintain own Participant case load at level within constraints of other duties. Manage site budgets Develop strategies to identify potential employers and market the services of Outlook Employment Develop marketing strategies to promote Participants to potential employers and the community as a whole Develop effective networking and marketing strategies with business to create and maintain employment options for Participants Develop and maintain effective communications with disability organisations, a wide range of government (DEPARTMENT, Centrelink etc.), community, business, carer and advocacy groups as required Attend promotion events to increase the profile of Outlook Employment to the wider community and stakeholders To attend and represent Outlook Employment at stakeholder, government, business management meetings were required Broker partnerships between Outlook Employment and other service providers, community service providers and/or workplaces when required Work with community groups, other service providers, government and nongovernment bodies etc. to advance the rights of people with disabilities Attend promotion events and become an advocacy for Outlook Employment Participants Promote the rights and abilities of people with disabilities within the workplace Ensure adequate support is provided to each Participant, relative to their need and with the intention of assisting the Participant to find and maintain employment within the open employment market Develop action plans to identify Participant needs Discuss Outlook Employment role in assisting Participants to find employment Assist Participants while they attend training workshops Undertake job search activities for job seekers referred or endorsed Assist in the negotiation of appropriate industrially approved wages and conditions on behalf of Participants Ensure the EC works with employers and Participants to develop appropriate Job Plans that will ensure long term employment outcomes for the Participant Provide appropriate referrals to job seekers requiring alternative assistance Provide on job support & training if required by ESM Outlook (Vic) Inc.
