Englisch Primer LF 832 Floortec 2K-Epoxi-Grund LF 832 solvent-free, transparent primer resin as primer in Floortec PUR Coating System and under Floortec 2C Epoxy Thick Layer LF 834 Properties Solvent-free, two-component, low-viscosity epoxy resin for mineral floor surfaces. Glossy, transparent, with very good adhesion properties on concrete and cement screed, self-flowing depending on degree of filling. Can be highly filled with firedried quartz sand. Highly resistant to mechanical and chemical strain. Field of application As primer in Floortec PUR Coating System for exterior use and, under Thick Layer LF 834, for interior use. In combination with Floortec Quartz Sand 1526 also usable as scratch, shrink hole and compensation filler as well as flow coating. Can also be used for gluing suitable groove profiles or for manual production of grooves. Can be used on mineral substrates, such as cement screed ( CT30) or concrete ( C20/25 and/or B25), in system build-up with the following coatings: Field of Application Floortec - PUR Coating 852-2C PUR Thick Layer LF 833-2C Epoxy Thick Layer LF 834. Material description Standard color: transparent Gloss grade: glossy Material basis: Epoxy resin, solvent-free Density: - Base material: approx. 1.14 g/cm³ - Hardener: approx. 1.00 g/cm³ Packaging: 5 kg, 10 kg (combined container incl. hardener) Use Mixing Mix Primer LF 832 with hardener in specified mixing ratio. Ensure that the hardener container is emptied completely. Mix the two components thoroughly until a smearfree, homogeneous mass is obtained. We recommend using a slow-running mixer (max. 400 rpm) with special 2-component stirrer to avoid inclusion of air. Then pour the mass in another container and stir again thoroughly. Use immediately after mixing. Mixing ratio 3 parts by weight of Floortec 2C Epoxy Primer LF 832 with 1 part by weight of hardener. Thinning Do not thin. Tinting No not tint. Compatibility Only mixable with similar materials and those specified in this Data Sheet. Application Apply Primer LF 832 using a paint brush or roller, e.g., with the Universal Paint Roller 1102 or Polyamide Paint Roller 1314 or during filler application. If used as a primer, apply the material unfilled, i.e. without addition of quartz sand. As scratch, shrink hole and compensation filling or flow coating, mix and apply the material in the specified mixing ratio with 1526 and, if required, with Floortec Floating Agent 824. Also comply with the specifications in the following table "Addition of quartz sand". Scratch and shrink hole filling may only be done using an untoothed stainless steel smoothening trowel. For gluing suitable groove profiles, mix material with Floortec Floating Agent 824 in the specified mixing ratio. Date: 10.07.2013 Page 1 of 4

Directly after application, sprinkle 1526 (0.1 to 0.4 mm) on the wet coat, making sure it is covered completely. Depending on the absorbing capacity of the substrate and the wet film thickness, approx 1.0 to 2.0 kg/m² of quartz sand are required; make sure not to apply an excessive quantity. After the surface has dried sufficiently, sweep and vacuum clean the surface to remove excessive sand. Pot life (at +20 C) No more than 20 minutes. A higher temperature will reduce the pot time. Normally, a temperature deviation of 10 C will cause halving/doubling of the specified pot life. Once the outside of the container has heated up notably, the container is no longer usable. At this point, the material may no longer be used. Addition of floating agent For use in vertical and inclined surfaces add up to 4 % of Floortec Floating Agent 824, as required. To glue groove profiles, add 2 to 3 % of Floortec Floating Agent 824. The exact quantity of floating agent to be added depends on the object and material temperature as well as the quantity of quartz sand added (filling degree). Addition of Quartz Sand (filling degrees) scratch and shrink hole filling Flow coating Compensation filling / inclined screed, repair mortar Coat thickness Mixing ratio resin/quartz 1) (parts by weight) 1:1 approx. 1.5 mm approx. 2.5 mm up to 5 mm 1:5 grading curve quartz sand 0.1 to 0.4 mm (1526.0025.0000) total consumption 2) (per mm) resin consumption 2) (per mm) 1.20 kg/m² 0.60 kg/m² 1:2 0 to 1 mm 1.76 kg/m² 0.58 kg/m² 1:3 0 to 2 mm 1.90 kg/m² 0.48 kg/m² 0.2 to 0.7 mm (1526.0025.0001) 2.06 kg/m² 0.34 kg/m² 6-12 mm 1:8 0 to 1 mm 2.20 kg/m² 0.24 kg/m² > 12 mm 1:10 0 to 2 mm 2.30 kg/m² 0.20 kg/m² Mortar for grooves 3) 1:5 0.1 to 0.4 mm (1526.0025.0000) 1.20 kg/m 0.2 kg/m 1) The corresponding mixing ratio depends on the roughness of the substrate and the object and material temperature. 2) Determine exact consumption by way of a test application on the object. 3) Comply with additional specifications on groove design in "Connections and joints". Consumption For priming: approx. 300 g/m². For gluing grooved profiles: approx. 200 g/m. The consumption values only refer to the mixed primer without floating agent and quartz sand addition. Determine exact consumption by way of a test application on the object. For additional consumption values, see table "Addition of quartz sand". Application temperature Air, object and material temperature must be within a range from +10 C to +30 C. Note dew point temperature. The surface temperature must be at least 3 C above the dew point. The relative atmospheric moisture must not exceed 80 %. Page 2 of 5

Tool cleaning After use, clean tools immediately using Epoxy Thinner 854. Drying (+20 C, 65 % relative humidity) Allow to dry for at least 12 hours before accessing the surface and continuing the system buildup. Allow longer drying times at lower temperatures and/or higher air humidity. Storage Store in a cool and frost-free location. Reseal opened containers tightly. If stored properly in the unopened original container, the material can be stored for at least 12 months. Declaration Water pollution classification Class 2, according to VwVwS. Product code RE 1. Comply with the specifications in the current Safety Data Sheet. Coating build-up Substrate preparation The substrate must be solid, dry, clean, with good adhesiveness, load-bearing, dimensionally stable and free from separating agents, corrosion-promoting components or other intermediate layers affecting the adhesion. The substrate must generally comply with building standards and have a minimum adhesive pull strength of 1.5 N/mm². The substrate must be protected from rising moisture and all horizontal barriers required must be installed. Smooth floor surfaces, for example surfaces smoothed with a steel smoothing tool, must be roughened in order to improve adhesion. Data Sheet 832 Any contamination present, such as oil, grease, rubber abrasions, etc., and other non-load-bearing layers and coatings must be removed using a process suitable for the object in question. Considering the specific object conditions, the following floor surface preparation methods are suitable, for example: Polishing, milling, Blastrac blasting (dustfree ball blasting) and compressed air blasting using a solid blasting agent. Fill any minor breakouts and damaged areas on mineral substrates with a mixture suitable for filler knife application of Floortec 2C-Epoxy Primer LF 832 and Floortec Quartz Sand 1526 (wet-in-wet, when applying the prime coat), to create a smooth surface. Larger damaged areas (more than 10 mm deep) can also be filled using repair mortar from the Brillux concrete protection system to create a smooth surface. The residual moisture of the substrate must not exceed 4 CM-%. Also see VOB Part C, DIN 18363, Par. 3. Creating grooves in system build-up Producing grooves using epoxy mortar or ready-made profiles Substrates Prime coat Groove production 1) Coating uncoated, intact exterior floor surfaces, concrete ( C20/25 and/or B25) and screed surfaces ( ZE30) Primer LF 832 Primer LF 832, sprinkled with up to 1,000 g/m² Floortec Quartz Sand 1526 (0.1 to 0.4 mm) create grooves wet in wet using epoxy mortar (see table "Addition of quartz sand") Gluing of Groove Profile 1593 using Floortec 2C Epoxy Primer LF 832, adding 2 to 3 % of Floortec Floating Agent 824 1) Comply with additional specifications on groove design in "Connections and joints". further system build-up with Floortec - 2C PUR Thick Layer LF 833 - PUR Coating 852-2C Epoxy Thick Layer LF 834 Page 3 of 5

Connections and joints When it comes to making wall edges, the joint area must be designed as a groove. To that end, the corner areas must always be primed with Floortec 2C Epoxy Primer LF 832. Groove with epoxy mortar Position a perimeter strip made from PE foam, e.g., the Perimeter Insulation Strip SK 3018, before applying the mortar. Then, produce a fillable mixture of Primer LF 832 and 1526 (0.1 to 0.4 mm) (MR 1:5), place it on the wet primer, round it out and smoothen it (using a round PVC tube, radius approx. 6 cm, for example). Mortar mixture consumption: approx. 1,2 kg/m. Groove with ready-made profiles Alternatively, you can glue the ready-made Groove Profiles 1593 after priming. Existing structural joints must be taken over and executed properly. This also applies to the groove area. The joint should generally be executed according to DIN 18540. Compensation fillings Produce flow coating or compensation filling and/or inclined screed in the relevant mixing ratio as specified in table "Addition of Quartz Sand". The surface to be filled/repaired must always be primed with Primer LF 832, the filler mass must be placed on the wet primer. Notes In the case of bearing old coating For application on old, bearing floor coatings, there is no general standard build-up. In this case, like in the case of refurbishments, local consulting is required. To that end we recommend that you contact the Brillux Consulting Service.
