Renowned quality Proven worldwide Installing Trellex wear resistant rubber is identical with good operating economy and reduced risk of breakdowns. Since the early 1960 s, Metso Minerals has gained considerable, worldwide experience not only in the applications of such as wear resistant rubbers, but also in how to consistently produce good quality, without ever being tempted to reduce compounding cost by introducing less than top-grade ingredients. Lower Cost Wear costs money, often lots of money. It is unavoidable in any industrial activity. A safe way of increasing profits is to lower the costs. With the experience from more than 40 years use, Trellex wear resistant rubber has demonstrated cost reductions in many applications. due to its elasticity and impact absorbing ability, rubber can withstand high crushing stresses without suffering damage. Another advantage is that rubber is not affected by corrosion, which may shorten the lifetime of ordinary wear components. Fewer and shorter stoppages In many installations Trellex wear resistant rubber sheeting has proved to have a much longer life than other wear materials like steel. In consequence, you do not have to change the Trellex lining as often. Nor the components it protects, of course. The results soon become apparent. Fewer stoppages and less production losses which gives more money saved through the absence of stoppages. Cost Trellex Steel Time Improves the working environment Long exposure to noise impairs the hearing. Short time exposure may also lead to direct accidents simply because communication between people becomes distorted, or by reducing attention and efficiency of work at end of shift. By installing Trellex wear resistant rubber the subjective loudness level can be reduced. Diagram shows noise reduction at an feed end of a primary chute in comparison to steel. Trellex rubber lining reduced the sound level 21 db(a). Noice protection required Steel lining Trellex rubber lining Feed of primary chute Trellex rubber lining reduced the sound level 21 db(a)
Quick and easy installation Trellex wear resistant rubber is lighter in weight than steel, making it easier to deal with in lining applications. Our wear resistant rubber can be clamped, bolted, or nailed into posistion. In applications when the rubber sheeting should not only protect a steel structure against wear and tear, but also against corrosion, bonding should be used. This is made easy with Trellex rubber sheeting that is availabe with both tear of fabric and contact layer. Polyurethane Trellex wear resistant polyurethane is formulated and engineered for wear applications and wear protection service. Trellex polyurethane wear plates have a consistent high quality, which is a result of a high tech production and the use of superior polyurethane compounds. In many applications Trellex Polyurethane is the natural choice because it can outperform other materials, such as steel, plastic and rubber. This is a result of their particular properties, excellent abrasion resistance and toughness, high resistance to breakage on impact or in rough handling, very high tear strength and high load bearing ability. These four properties, although certainly not the only outstanding properties of Trellex wear resistant polyurethane, are the ones that usually make them stand out far above other material choices in many applications.
Facts about Trellex wear resistant rubber sheeting Trellex T40 smooth Sheeting intended mainly for sliding and blasting abrasion and for small particle sizes. Extremely high wear resistans against fine-grained, slurried materials. Tolerates operating temperatures of 60 70 C. Withstands low concentrations of oil (splashing, etc.). Limited resistance to crushing, piercing and tearing. T40 CL (Contact Layer) Same type of rubber as in T40 Smooth. One side is coated with a special contact layer, which eliminates the need for buffing and primer treatment. A single application of adhesive is sufficient. Furthermore, installation is simpler and faster. T40 TO (Tear Off) Same type of rubber as in T40 Smooth. One side with a tear-off fabric backing. Removing the fabric backing exposes a roughened surface free from impurities and suitable for immediate bonding without first needing to be buffed making the installation easier and faster. Nom. Trellex T60 smooth A rubber grade satisfying extremely high requirements of wear and tear and of impacting. Outstanding when the abrasive material contains large particle sizes. Has extremely good tensile strength and tear resistance. Tolerates operating temperatures of 70 80 C. Withstands moderate concentrations of chemicals and oils. T60 TO (Tear-Off) Same type of rubber as in T60 Smooth. One side with a tear-off fabric backing. Removing the fabric backing exposes a roughened surface free from impurities and suitable for immediate bonding without first needing to be buffed.
