MISSION OF JNV MORADABAD TREE PLANTATION UPTO 2020 By the next three years, the school will achieve plantation of 500 trees in the area surrounding the school and in the city to spread awareness among students and sensitizing the community members. Tree Plantation Tree plantation means planting more trees in a planned way. It is very necessary to... the environment. Trees are our best friends. They give us oxygen. They also give us shelter, shade, foods, fruits etc. They help our environment in many ways. They prevent soil erosion. They make our land fertile. They save us from droughts, floods, cyclones etc. If there are no trees our country will turn into desert. Different kinds of natural disasters will come. People will suffer from the shortage... Campus Plantation

There is a very well known saying "healthy minds lives within healthy body". We all know fresh air not only gives us healthy lungs with healthy body but also produce healthy mind too. "Plant a tree India" is very much concerned about youngsters. We believe that Youngsters are just like a budding plant, if not nurtured now then loses its chance to become a full fledge tree. So with keeping this concern in our minds we designed this project for them only. We want young buds to grow in healthy environment and for a healthy environment it's necessary to have healthy surroundings. So in this regard we are always ready to give support and assistance for campus plantation because campuses of the schools or of institutions are the places where students invest most of their effective time. Under this project our team of experts will visit the campus and develop best possible design for plantation in the campus with the involvement of concerning authorities. After developing design for plantation our experts will happily help them throughout the campus plantation, they will also help the authorities up in selecting best plant species as per requirements of project. During all these efforts we'll invite involvement of students and we will also conduct environment classes for them within the campus to tell them how their small efforts towards this noble cause can bring a big difference in the present scenario. Through this way the youngsters will not only raise their involvement in some healthy exercise but it will also make them learn about team work, about their environment, about economy and of course fill them up with sense of responsibility, love and compassion. Good to Know Research has shown that those Kids who garden eat more vegetables. Even more studies have found that students who grew plants scored about 12% higher on academic tests, compared with those who didn't.

To campaign for Tree plantation the school arranged a workshop where students, teachers, members of school managing committee, social workers, representatives of administration and NGos attended and shared their views about the importance of trees and the negative impacts if trees are felled down on the environment and ecology. Tree plantation in the school premises also was held where the chief guest planted trees seedlings to mark the day a significant one. People of almost all stakes appreciate the initiatives taken by schools to protect environment by planting trees and made people aware about the services of trees in our life and their role in making he environment balance. Conclusion Both students and teachers feel proud of being attached in the social action project. Not only among the students but also people living around and adjacent to the school are at least felt and realized the negative impact chopping down trees and importance of trees.. 1. Civic Literacy Exercising the rights and duties of citizenship at local. 2. Global awarenes Learning from and working together with individuals from lifestyles to show respect and encourage open discussion in community contexts. 3. Environmental literacy Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the environment condition effecting it. 4. Collaborate with other Demonstrate ability to work effectively and respectively with various team and individuals. 5. Information, Media and Technology Skills Today's world is riddled with problems. Balance between flora and fauna is the biggest problem the world. Population growth wildly distorts the balance between our economic and health Cutting of forests from human being - is a threat to civilization. Weather has changed significantly. In some parts of the Earth there are either consecutive years of drought or severe flooding. 3

Forests and water are the renewable sources, when they are not present, always flowing rivers get dried, water levels in dams get reduced, canals, power generation is stopped and the water is reduced. It is generated at grain industries is threatened. Importance of trees, forests and the green cover of the earth are well known. Trees are our best and most valuable friends. In Pakistan traditions and culture many types of trees are held sacred and worshipped only because of this reason. Trees and forests play a very vital role in the growth and development of human society. They are also important for beasts, birds and others forms of life. Without trees life is not possible. God first created trees and vegetation and then men and animals because the former sustain life. Trees give us fruits, flowers, medicines, fuel, timber, shelter and many other things. They not only beautify environment but also prevent floods, droughts, famines, soil-erosion, land-slides, desertification etc. they work as a great force and instrument in maintaining ecological balance in nature. They work as a great force and instrument in maintaining ecological balance in the nature. They prevent pollution and keep the atmosphere fresh, lively and vibrating. They are part and parcel of our environment. But unfortunately, the forest cover of the earth is shrinking rapidly. There has been indiscriminate destruction of trees and forests on a large scale. Depletion of forest wealth has caused many serious problems. These include floods, droughts, famines, erratic rainfalls, soil erosion, desertification and landslides. Because lack of trees and forests, the water cannot be absorbed in the earth and so there are floods and soil-erosion. Forests are very valuable and renewable resources of nature and must be protected and preserved at all costs. More and more trees should be planted and then seen to be matured. Social forestry should be popularized. Felling of trees should be strictly prohibited and the offenders properly punished. More and more people, non-government agencies, social groups, panchayats etc. should be involved in Van Mahotsava and tree plantation. Students in schools and colleges should be inspired and motivated to plant and protect trees. It should be made obligatory that at least one tree is planted by each and every person in the country. The influence and impact of trees on all living beings including man is very soothing and pleasant. They keep us happy, healthy and cheerful. They provide us with life-giving oxygen and work as valuable barrier to 4

noise-pollution. It is in the forests that our Vedas, Upanishads were created and composed. We should protect and conserve the trees, the most beautiful gift of God and nature. Plantation and protection of tree is a great creative activity. It is also participation in divinity. There cannot be a greater sin that felling a tree. It is nothing short of a murder. The trees not only make the soil fertile, but also to generate consciousness in our lives. If we want to protect our civilization and culture, then we must plant more trees, rather than that not only nurture we should also protect them. Trees do many things for human being, they seem beautiful and it keeps the air clean, reduce the harshness of the weather and help to eliminate toxic gases. There are many types of trees that benefit us. Air, water and soil pollution can be eliminated by the growth of trees. THE END 5
