The plant locations listed above have an approved Q.C. Manual to manufacture the product. Fiber Composites, LLC has an Evaluation and Follow-up Service Agreement with Pei Evaluation Service (Pei ES) and an Inspection Agreement with Progressive Engineering Inc. (Pei ). Each manufacturing facility will be audited on a quarterly basis by Pei. Product Descriptions All guardrail systems (except Veranda ArmorGuard) covered by this PER are co-extruded MPVC products manufactured in one of the following Pei ES approved colors: White, Tranquil White, Black, Serene Black, Bronze, Dark Walnut, Simply Brown, Mahogany, Redwood, and Cedar. Veranda ArmorGuard is co-extruded Polyethylene/Wood core with HDPE capstock manufactured in two Pei ES approved colors: Nantucket Gray and Brazilian Walnut. Railing systems consist of the structural components outlined in Table 2 and Table 4 and fasteners outlined in Table 3 and Table 5. Fiberon Symmetry assembly and component details are shown in Figure 1 through Figure 11, and Fiberon Horizon assembly and component details are shown in Figure 12 through Figure 19. Veranda Regency White Rail assembly and component details are shown in Figure 20 through 27, Veranda ArmorGuard assembly and component details are shown in Figure 28 through 35, and Veranda Enclave assembly and component details are shown in Figure 36 through 42. HomeSelect Guardrails are manufactured in four (5) Pei ES approved styles: Classic, Deluxe, Traditional, Naturals, and Sentry. Assembly and component details are shown in Figure 43 through 52. General Product Usage 1. All guardrails shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions and the conditions of this PER. A copy of the manufacturer's installation instructions shall be made easily available to the installer. 2. All framing, wood posts, beams, joists, stringers and associated connections required to anchor the railing posts are outside the scope of this PER. All framing shall follow applicable codes or be designed by a licensed Engineer. Stairway handrail shall be designed and constructed in accordance with the applicable codes. 3. Fiberon Symmetry Railings may be used in all construction types where untreated wood is permitted in accordance with Section 1406.3 of the IBC. The 12-ft and 10-ft spans are further limited to use in One- and Two-Family Dwellings as defined by the 2012/2015 IBC and 2012/2015 IRC. 4. All guardrail system load tests were performed using 4x4 Douglas Fir or Treated Southern Pine posts. Where alternative lumber species are utilized, the fastener capacity shall be verified by the local code official or a registered design professional as deemed applicable. 5. Each guardrail system may be installed at maximum spans as indicated in Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 12, Figure 20, Figure 28, Figure 36, and Figure 43. Each system is rated for a railing height of 42 inches or 36 inches as indicated in Table 1.
