Light Curing Acrylic Adhesives Light cure chemistry offers one-pa adhesives which cure completely in seconds to form thermoset polymers with superior adhesion to a wide variety of substrates including glass, metal, and plastics. Excellent spectral transmission in the Visible, and NIR ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum, coupled with indices of refraction which are tailored towards those of typical fiber optic substrates make the light cure technology suitable for the joining of a wide variety of fiber optic components. High bond strengths to commonly used transparent substrates such as glass and a variety of thermoset and thermoplastic materials, along with outstanding environmental resistance, render light cure adhesives effective for the assembly of lenses, fibers, collimators, prisms, and other fiber optic components.the versatility of light cure adhesives renders them suitable for specialty processes such as ribbonization and other fiber optic coating operations. product # item # container cure color viscosity 1 % transmission 2 modulus 3 elongation 3 hardness 4 Tg C 5 CTE 6 refractive 7 linear 8 size type cp NIR psi % Shore D ppm/ C index shrinkage VISIBLE % 3106 23697 23698 uv/ visible clear 5000 >95 37000 250 53 53 95 1.50 1.90 3345 33417 30688 uv clear 1500 164000 55 70 99 110 1.51 2.09 3922 32083 32047 uv/ visible clear 300 91000 265 66 99 120 1.51 2.20 3491 28366 17944 uv clear 1100 288000 27 75 63 100 1.51 1.98 3492 28367 18666 uv clear 500 200000 5 79 64 90 1.51 1.93 3494 30765 29487 uv/ visible clear 5500 75000 200 65 60 120 1.51 2.21 3526 30756 30764 uv/visible clear 17800 42000 185 62 64 110 1.51 2.14 Cyanoacrylate Adhesives Cyanoacrylate technology provides one-pa, room temperature curing adhesives which form thermoplastic resins upon cure.
