How it works CLOUD TICKETING IN A NUTSHELL If you want to watch a film on the internet, not much is required: all you need is an internet connection and access data for a film portal to get access to countless films no matter where you are or when you want to watch. This type of cloud-based online service has been highly successful worldwide and virtually anybody who has tried it would never want to do without. We make this successful concept available to transport service providers with our ABT solutions. Until now, ticketing data has been saved in different places: product information and credit on user smart cards, tariff information on field devices, administrative data in the back-office system etc. The result is a bulky, sluggish system that requires substantial effort when it comes to maintenance. With ABT, all this data and information is stored solely in the back-office system, where it is available in realtime on a round-the-clock basis for all ticketing processes. This means that extensive tariff changes can be applied within seconds and reports analysed instantaneously. Field devices such as validators and gates are used solely to perform their main function to provide passengers with secure and convenient access to transportation services. Your passengers do not have to worry about anything except signing onto the system when they start a journey. Manual sign-off is only necessary if required by the fare system. Existing identification data provided by media such as a credit card or smartphone is used for access purposes. Ticket tariffs and supplementary ticket products are determined automatically and dynamically based on user profile, the current rate and tickets already issued. 6
