UDC NATIONAL STANDARD OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CIDNA i:p~a~~"1~~;f{~/l p GB 50015-2003 Code for Design of Building Water Supply and Drainage ( 2009 Edition) Issued on: April 15,2003 Implemented on: September 1,2003 Jointly Issued by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China

Revision Note According to the requirements of Document Jian Biao ( 2007] No. 125 issued by former Ministry of Construction (MOC)-'"Notice on Printing the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards in 2007 (The First Batch)", the code is by Shanghai Xian Dai Architectural Design (Group) Co., Ltd. jointly with relevant organizations, and revised from "Code for Design of Building Water Supply and Drainage" GB 50015-2003. The partial revision of this Code is in accordance with the requirements of Document Jian Biao (1994] No. 219-" Notice on Printing the Administrative Measure for Partial Revision of Engineering Construction Standards", and its code partial revision also based on implementation situations in engineering construction after the publishing of the original code and the advice of the partial provision of the original code are massively solicited, as well as the work of testing technical parameters which are related to some provisions and product research, and is led to a final text through inspection by some departments concerned working together. The main contents of this partial revision are as follows : 1. Regulating the applicable conditions for the preventions of backflow pollution in the domestic drinking water pipe, supplementing the requirements for the preventions of backflow pollution of the locations and devices with high hazards of backflow pollution which is supplied by the pipe of drinking water and the combined pipe of living and producing, and supplementing the setting requirements for back flow preventers and vacuum breakers ; 2. Supplementing the principle specifications of such energy saving technologies as pressure-superposed water supply, solar hot water supply and heat pump hot water supply; 3. Improving the design flow calculation for residential sub-district; 4. Carrying out requirements for same-floor drain; 5. Recommending the new floor drain type with anti-drought function, and prohibiting the use of the bell jar ( bowl-buckle) type of floor drain; 6. Based upon the results of scientific tests, regulating the maximum desigri flow capacity for stacks under different setting conditions of the vent system. And supplementing design contents of the self-circulation vent system; 7. Setting up the design discharge capacity of rainwater leaders and roof drain ac- 1

cording to the design flow regime of rainwater system; 8. Revising design calculation parameters of hourly heat consumption for hot water supply; 9.
