PEFC National Members PEFC s conditions for National Governing Body membership require that the national candidate organization shall: a) be a legal entity; b) have its own statutes not conflicting the PEFC Council Statutes; c) include amongst its objectives the implementation of the PEFC scheme within its country; d) have made a commitment to follow the PEFC Council rules and requirements; e) have support of national forest owner s or national forestry organisation; f) provide interested parties with a fair, ongoing and appropriate possibility to influence the organisation s decision making. 15
