SECTION 3: HAZARD IDENTIFICATION Emergency Overview: This material is not hazardous according to OSHA Hazard Communication definition. This MSDS contains valuable information critical to the safe handling and proper use of the product. This MSDS should be retained and available for employees and other users of the product. Potential Health Effects: Routes of Exposure: Signs and Symptoms Of Acute Exposure: Ingestion: Poses no immediate hazard. No known acute exposure effects. Solids or dusts may cause irritation or scratch the surface of the eye. Not Irritating. Heated foam can stick to skin, causing thermal burns. Ingestion not a likely route of exposure. Inhalation of fumes and vapors generated by heating foam may cause soreness or irritation in the nose and throat. Exposure to dust may cause irritation. Chronic Health Effects: No known chronic health effects. Conditions Aggravated by Exposure: No known conditions are aggravated by exposure to this material. SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES Take proper precautions to ensure your own health and safety before attempting rescue and providing first aid. For specific information refer to the Emergency Overview in Section 3 of this MSDS. Ingestion: Flush particles from eyes with clean flowing water or eye wash solution for several minutes. Seek medical attention if discomfort persists. If heated material contacts the skin, immediately quench with cool flowing water. If foam/polymer sticks to skin, do not peel, seek immediate medical attention. If the burn is severe, obtain immediate emergency medical attention. If ingested, seek medical attention. See Section 15: Regulatory Information. SECTION 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling: Storage: Keep scrap material off walking surfaces as this can create slipping hazards. Avoid accumulation of dust in enclosed space. Use in well-ventilated area. Use good housekeeping practices during storage, transfer, handling. Recommend storage indoors with adequate fire sprinkler protection. Store away from excessive heat, ignition sources and oxidizing agents. Keep poly-bag container closed to prevent moisture exposure, soiling and contamination. Foam rolls can be heavy, stacking rolls is not recommended. SECTION 8: EXPOSURE CONTROLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTION Engineering Controls: Ventilate storage and use areas to prevent accumulation of dust and fumes. Personal Protection: Safety glasses are recommended. Wear heat resistant gloves and clothing when contact with heated foam is possible. When appropriate, use respiratory protection.
