Estimate Base Sanitary Flow: 1. Flow Meter Data, 2. From metered water consumption Estimate Infiltration: During seasonal high groundwater (after rainy season), infiltration will be at its highest. Average the nighttime flows over several days, during otherwise dry weather conditions. Estimate Inflow: The Influence of wet weather calculated by subtracting out the sanitary wastewater and infiltration, from the flows produced during a rain event. US EPA, Guide for Estimating Infiltration and Inflow, June 2014
What Methods Can I Use to Determine I&I? US EPA, Private Sewer Laterals, June 2014
What is the Typical I&I from Laterals? Sanitation District No. 1 of Northern Kentucky, Inflow and Infiltration from Private Property, 2006. Water Environment Federation, 1999. Control of Infiltration and Inflow in Private Building Sewer Connections.

EPROS TRELLEBORG SYSTEM LCR (Lateral Connection Repair) MTH (Main to House)
LCR (Lateral Connection Repair) MTH (Main to House) LCR No Cleanout required! Full wrap in main, 18 to 2 ft into lateral Uses Silicate Resin Ambient cure of 70 Minutes Uses Inversion process MTH No Cleanout required! Full wrap in main, line lateral up to house 98 ft Uses Epoxy Resin Steam cure of 40 minutes Uses Inversion Process
LCR System Either a hat profile or full circumferential liner Typical length into lateral is 2 ft. Pipe Size: Mainline up to 20, Lateral Size 4-10 Liners are made of a needle fleece comprising 85% ECR fiberglass (Corrosion Resistant Glass) and 15% polyester fiber with a Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) Coating Ambient cure silicate resin (winter and summer type)
Silicate Resin Advantages No VOC s, no styrene no environmental issues or potential health concerns No unpleasant odors Ambient Cure -Excellent potlife and cure times for small diameter installations Cures in the presence of water does not wash out. Zero Shrinkage! Excellent bonding to a wide range of materials
MTH System Circumferential liner up to the building. Maximum length up lateral is 98 ft. Pipe Size : Mainline up to 20, Lateral Size 4-10 Liners are made of a needle fleece comprising 85% ECR fiberglass (Corrosion Resistant Glass) and 15% polyester fiber with a Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) Coating Hot cure epoxy Resin
Epoxy Resin (Epropox HC120) Advantages No VOC s, no styrene no environmental issues or potential health concerns No unpleasant odors Hot Cure - Potlife of 120 minutes at 70 degrees F. Cure time of 45-60 minutes at 176 degrees F. Cures in the presence of water does not wash out. Zero Shrinkage! Excellent bonding to a wide range of materials
ADVANTAGES 85/15 fiberglass liner with TPU coating ensures excellent chemical resistance, high mechanical values, and steam resistance Both silicate and epoxy composites with 85/15 liners exceed the minimum requirements as per ASTM F1216 & F2561. Property ASTM Test Minimum Value Silicate Resin w/85/15 liner Epoxy Resin with 85/15 liner Flexural Strength D790 4,500 psi 11,531 psi 23,583 psi Flexural Modulus D790 250,000 psi 375,213 psi 698,937 psi
INSTALLATION EQUIPMENT Push Rod Spool Packer Stand Control Unit Packer Assembly
INVERSION PROCESS Position the packer until the pathfinder engages into the opening of the lateral connection. Make sure the LCR packer takes a center position with the lateral opening. Set the pressure regulator to an inflation pressure of 10 psi. At first, the pressure is built up in the main pipe. Then pressure will be built up in the lateral connection thereby causing the inversion process to start.
Top 10 Reasons To use lateral lining to reduce your I&I issues!
#10 Epoxy Resin & Resin Migration No Polyester Resin & No Shrinkage & No Annular Space
#9 Use of Calibrated Wet Out Table
WE DO NOT IMPREGNATE OUR LATERAL LINER ON THE GROUND!
#8 Vacuum Impregnation
#7 EPROS liner material has no field connections. Stitched in Factory Conditions. No Field Seams. Other Systems May Glue the liners together in the field to achieve the desired length prior to installation leading to potential week spots in the lining system.
#6 Steamed Cured Resulting in Higher Quality Liner and Decreases curing time (40 minutes) to minimize homeowner inconvenience.
#5 NO CLEANOUT NEEDED! And Capability of Liner Lengths of up to 98 feet from the main.
#4 Capable of inverting lateral lines from mainline sewer diameter up to 20 in Diameter.
#3 Our MTH Lateral Lining System has a proven success rate. Please refer to our testimonies and case studies
#2 - VALUE #1. Eliminate Infiltration Save Money #2. Eliminate Exfiltration Satisfy EPA #3. Structural Repair With No Digging #4. Installing an Asset by extending the life of the infrastructure by 50 + Years
#1 The Price Make Sense! At approximately $2,000 to $3,500 per lateral you can start implementing a long term plan to implement a trenchless rehabilitation program and line every lateral in your collection system. Essentially eliminate infiltration and extend the life of your aging infrastructure.
