In particular, several engineering plastics which have proudly high strength and can be used for manufacturing industry, Metal paste (silver, copper, bronze etc.), and Chocolate paste for Edison Series are manufactured in ROKIT only. Please visit our website as often as possible and meet newly added or improved materials which are optimized to desktop 3D printer Edison. http://en.3disonprinter.com/
Metal Clay Metal Clay developed by Rokit Inc. is paste type material for 3D printing and the material is made by adding special binder to smeddum of silver, copper and bronze. Because of the property of clay type material, printed object should be fired using oven or kiln after it has been printed. Also, to print metal clay, existing extruder should be changed to the extruder which can equip syringe. Please refer to user manual for changing extruder and firing. Engineering Plastic Engineering plastic is resin with macromolecule structure, which is almost as strong as steel, has chemical resistance. The material can be used for various applications including home appliances and general merchandise and most of all, helmet, or parts of camera, watch, aircraft and mobile phone use the material as its properties have excellent shockproof, wear resistance, heat resistance, cold resistance, chemical resistance and electric insulation. Above all things, the plastic is as strong as it can be used as engineering materials. Be careful of burns as set temperature will keep 350 C during printing. High-speed printing is not recommended as it may affect to the quality of printed object. POLY CARBONATE POLY ETHER IMIDE
PLA Filament PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) filament is non-toxic and eco-friendly material made of corn starch mainly. It is liable to crumble than ABS material but it does not crumble easily. It has less chance of cracking, bending and shrinking than ABS material when you print big and sharp design. Also, gloss surface is another property of the filament. Temperature: 205 ~ 215 C We recommend protecting the filament by wrapping it with plastic bag when storing Heat Bed Temperature: 70 ~ 80 C during rainy season or in moist place as the material is vulnerable to water. Speed: 100 ~ 120 mm/sec POPPY RED OPERA BRILIANT ORANGE LEMON YELLOW PERMANENT GREEN SKY BLUE PEACOCK BLUE BRIGHT VIOLET NATURAL BLACK WHITE SILVER
ABS Filament ABS (Acrylonitrile poly-butadience Styrene) filament is material without toxic gas extracted from petroleum and one of its properties is gloss surface. It is hard but has contractibility so cracking and bending can take place while the material is being hardened, especially when printing big artwork due to the difference of cooling rate of each layer and temperature difference of newest layer with previous layer. To supplement this problem, the heated bed can be used for fine printing. Putting the PET tape onto the print bed makes more stabilized printing. Temperature: 235 ~ 250 C We recommend using ABS filament in the place where enough ventilation is Heat Bed Temperature: 145 ~ 150 C available as ABS produces its unique smell when it is extruded in closed space. Speed: 100 ~ 120 mm/sec YELLOW ORANGE YELLOW GREEN YELLOW DEEP JAUNE BRILIANT BURNT SIENNA PEACOCK BLUE BRIGHT VIOLET GREY BLACK WHITE
Flexible Filament Flexible filament is filament with excellent elasticity and flexibility like rubber. The material shows excellent flexibility as the printed product can be bent easily and return to its original shape. Nylon Filament Nylon filament enables various-colored printing as it can be dyed very easily. Temperature: 215 ~ 240 C Be careful when you generate supporter as the supporter of Temperature: 240 C When you print nylon filament, Garolite bed (print bed for nylon, Heat Bed Temperature: 145 ~ 150 C the printed object will not be eliminated neatly because of the Speed: 40 ~ 80mm/sec made of wood and fiber) should be used because shrinkage will Speed: 30 ~ 40mm/sec properties of rubber. It is recommended to generate base of which area is take place if nylon is printed on general acrylic print board. Creator K program > Skeinforge > Set packing density to 0.75 High speed printing is not recommended as it may affect to the as wide as possible. Fiber in Garolite bed prevents shrinkage of nylon by physically quality of printed object. Creator K program > Skeinforge (File-Edit Slicing Profiles-Modify) attaching them on to the garolite surface when printing. > Set packing density to 0.75 VERMILION BLACK WHITE BLACK NATURAL
Stone Filament Stone filament expresses stone-like texture. It contains brick powder with PLA. Temperature: 165 ~ 175 C The filament is brittle than usual filaments so be careful when Heat Bed Temperature: 80 C winding on bobbin. Speed: 80 mm/sec Use of nozzle of which size is 0.6mm is recommended. Wood Filament The material of the filament is a mixture of wood powder and PLA so it can express the texture and color sense of wood and the material has flavor of wood as well. The material is proper to woodcraft. Temperature: 215 C The material color is affected by the temperature, so tree ring like affects can be simulated Heat Bed Temperature: 80 C by adjusting the temperature during printing. The color of the material is light brown in Speed: 40 ~ 80mm/sec low temperature and dark brown in high temperature. STONE GREY WOOD
PVA - Filament Water soluble filament. PVA is scarcely used in single nozzle independently but used mainly as a supporter material with duo nozzle. HIPS - Filament This plastic filament dissolves in limonene oil solution which is made of natural ingredients in orange, celery and some plant species (needs ventilation). HIPS is scarcely used in single nozzle independently but used mainly as a supporter material with duo nozzle. Temperature: 205 C Avoid rainy season in summer or moist place when store as the material is water soluble. Temperature: 205 C Continuous ventilation is required as the unique flavor and steam of limonene can be Heat Bed Temperature: 80 C Please store it in NO humid condition. Heat Bed Temperature: 80 C accumulated in the room when dissolve HIPS part of printed object in limonene oil. Speed: 40 mm/sec Speed: 40 mm/sec NATURAL WHITE
Chocolate paste Chocolate in paste type which has the best quality and taste includes the best ingredients and properties of paste have been adjusted to be well used in Edison printer. Temperature: 165 ~ 175 C Speed: Feedrate - 10mm/sec, Travel Feedrate 150mm/sec Infill(%) : 20 Replace the extruder with the extruder which is for chocolate printing exclusively. Put the chocolate in hot water for enough warming up in a double boiler before insert the chocolate cartridge. Turn the chocolate in the printer within 5 minutes as the chocolate may be hardened. When print chocolate, parchment paper for edible oil or aluminum foil must spread on the bed prior to printing. Paste Color extruder chocolate
