Risk Management Requested Assistance A critical component to the success of the Risk Initiative is the efficient acquisition / leveraging of school facility drawings. Session Law 2013-360 section 8.39, requires each LEAs to provide local law enforcement a schematic diagram of each school in its district. New schools and renovation construction drawings are provided to the LEA by architects in a AutoCAD DWG format. NCEM requests that County EM Directors coordinate / collaborate with local law enforcement to contact LEAs and request / acquire the digital schematic diagrams of each of their school buildings in their district. An email will go out from NCEM (John Dorman) on what information is needed (digital schematic diagram); how to efficiently transfer it; and, a point of contact for questions.
