Microsol 4 Microsol 4 Decontamination Solution with HLD4 Formulation In the late 1990 s Anachem identified a need for a new and effective decontamination and cleaning product for use in its service area. This was in main due to the large number of pipettes returned for service from a variety of customers including research, clinical and blood labs. Anachem needed to find a simple solution to decontaminating these products with no risk to its staff or customers. In 1997 a solution was formulated called Virosolve which in 1999 was rebranded as MicroSol. MicroSol has undergone a variety of changes over the years to ensure that it continues to achieve all of the objectives set out above. Our current formulation is MicroSol4 and the active ingredient is the HLD4 formulation We needed to find a solution that satisfied the following criteria: Effective against key risks (Viral, DNA/RNA and Bacterial) Safe to handle and use (little risk from contact or inhalation) Cleans and Disinfects in One Step Environmentally safe No risk of residues Easy to use Long shelf life = low wastage PLEASE CONTACT US FOR PRICING OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION T 01582 455135 F 0116 234 6715 E orders@anachem.co.uk www.anachem.co.uk

Enhanced Broad Spectrum Efficacy MicroSol 4 offers an enhanced broad spectrum efficacy, improved environmental safety and is recommended for treatment of all laboratory equipment including surface decontamination. MicroSol 4 is reformulated to include a unique and synergistic blend of twin chain quaternary ammonium compounds (Q.A.C.s) and amphoteric biocides. This combination enhances the efficacy compared to single chain Q.A.Cs and amphoterics either as single biocides and even combined. MicroSol 4 efficacy is therefore enhanced in the face of organic challenge due to the new Q.A.C. and has been tested at reputable independent test labs in the UK. European Efficacy Standards Where possible, data has been collected using the new European efficacy standards (EN Methods). These methods will be the standards required for the recently adopted European Biocides Product Directive under which all biocides in the EU will be regulated. As additional methods transition from provisional to approved, further studies will be added. HLD4 Formulation The HLD4 Formulation is being supported through BPD and REACH and contains no substances classified as dangerous to health. HLD4 combines a formidable array of microbiological credentials with the enhanced facilities of faster and more effective anti-pathogenic activity. Safety, Security and Simplicity have been enhanced too, allowing Microsol4 to offer economic dilutions for virtually all environmental challenges. Microsol4 is manufactured in accordance with Quality Management System ISO 900 I and is biodegradable under OECD conditions. DNA / RNA HLD4 formulation is proven to denature / precipitate DNA / RNA immediately at dilutions of 1:20 or 1:50 according to Cambridge University Technical Services CUTS can report that at dilutions of HLD4 less than 1:100 (v/v) 1:20 or 1:50 for example nucleic acids are precipitated immediately. For such dilutions (less than or equal to 1:100), the contact time for immersed solutions should be a few minutes at maximum. The product was not tested in aerosol form. However, it is likely that if the concentrations of HLD4 in an aerosol formulation is similar and the active ingredients are stable that it would behave similarly.
