InnoClean PLUS the natural alternative The InnoClean PLUS system is a decentralized wastewater treatment system which naturally treats domestic wastewater prior to release in drywells or local waters / streams. InnoClean PLUS wastewater treatment systems treat domestic wastewater on a completely natural basis using the environmentally friendly SR process (Sequencial atch Reactor). The SR Process The SR treatment process is based on the cleaning efficiency of microorganisms that naturally occur in domestic wastewater. These microorganisms exist in the activated sludge layer inside the chamber. During the treatment phase these microorganisms are mixed with the wastewater and supplied with oxygen which allows them to feed on the pollutants and treat the wastewater on a completely natural basis. The KESSEL InnoClean PLUS Wastewater Treatment Process Compared with all other treatment systems with wastewater aeration, the SR process offers the highest treatment efficiency in addition to providing extremely low operation costs. Description of operation: 1 Incoming wastewater Wastewater enters the pretreatment chamber where solids settle to the bottom. 6 Sludge transfer Excess sludge is returned to the sludge storage tank T R E A 6 T M P H A S E 8 hour wastewater treatment cycle E N T C C Y E L 2 Filling of treatment chamber The pretreated wastewater is pumped to the treatment chamber. 2 5 Emptying of treated wastewater The treated wastewater is then pumped out of the treatment chamber. After 8 hours the complete cycle has ended. In the case that sufficient wastewater is available in the pretreatment chamber, the entire 8 hours cycle begins again. In the case that no or little wastewater has been collected, the InnoClean PLUS automatically goes into energy savings mode. 4 Sedimentation phase After the 6 hour treatment phase a 1 or 2 hour sedimentation phase begins where sludge settles to the base and the treated wastewater clears. 3 Treatment / Ventilation of wastewater The 6 hour treatment phase begins the wastewater is intermittently supplied with bursts of oxygen. These bursts provide the microorganisms with required oxygen to begin their treatment process (denitrification).
