IMPORTANT FEATURES Nearest Villages: Patakottapalem Northeast - Distance- 1.0 Km Nuzendal Mandal 18 K.M..(N) Water body: The nearest water body is at a distance of 53 mts from the mine lease area Hospital: Govt. Hospital at is at distance of 2 KM from the site Reserve forest: The forest is at distance of 900 mts from the mine lease area.
IMPACT ON AIR ENVIRONMENT Anticipated sources of Air Pollutants Digging & Excavation Loading Transportation by vehicles Air Quality Management 1. Road - Road are Graded to mitigate the dust emission -Road shall be repaired as and when required -Regular water sprinkling. 2. Trucks -Avoid overloading of trucks Movement -Trucks to be covered with tarpaulin wile transporting while transporting ore - Enforcing speed limit (<25 kmph) 3. Mine area - Regular water sprinkling in dust borne areas - Plantation at necessary areas at bind soil and arrest erosion so that it can arrest erosion so that it can arrest soil borne air particles. 4. Plantation - Plantation (preferably with native species and selected plan species No Blasting hence no gases emissions
Impact on Noise Environment The Noise Impacts 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Loaded trucks movement noise generation max 80-92 db (A) Digging and excavation activities - <70 db (A) No blasting & drilling activities involved Mining activities are restricted to day time These noise levels are in signification, it will not exceeds the noise limited for residential area (55dB (A) Noise Quality Management Regular maintenance ( servicing) of Trucks will Minimize the levels of noise generation No blasting, no vibrations The green belt will also act an enclosure barriers to reduce noise levels
Impact & Management of water Quality The water table is noticed at 8 m below the ground level The mining activities will not touch the ground water table, and negative impact in anticipated. Garland drains will be provided around the waste dump and is connected sedimentary pond for arresting the suspended solids into natural water bodies. The mine benches will be properly designed to drain the rainwater falling in the mine area. Rainwater will be diverted into sumps; it will be passed through a desalting tank to clear it from suspended soilds
Flora - Fauna The terrestrial vegetation is restricted to herbs and shrubs trees coverage is very less, hence no major loss to biomass Man made activities (mining) are found in this area.
Impacts on Socio-Economic Environment It has a positive impacts by some employment generation (Total 25 no Skilled and remaining 21 manual labors) Providing Roads, lightening along the roads and green belt Development may improved aesthetic look of the area.
Creation of green Belt Plantation of 5 m width will be raised subject area of mine with native species in consultation of local DFO/ Agriculture department. The Green belt will also acts as sinks for dust The loss of biomass due to mining activity (7.50) is insignificant as the area is largely supported by herbs and shrubs. However theloss can be compensated/ doubled by the proposed green belt development plan. The Green belt will effectively prevent the soil erosion, enhance & regulate soil moisture regime & arrest surface run off. The green belt will be also act an enclosure barriers to reduce noise levels. The Green belt will attract avifauna.

Occupational Health & Safety Provision of safe drinking water and sanitation facilities to mine workers at the mine site Provision of Personal Protections devices to workers Safety precautions as per Metalliferous Mines Regulations, mines Rules and Act (1952) shall be taken.
Conclusions It is a small scale, an open cast, manual method of mining no blasting and mining activities to day times, hence no significant impacts are anticipated. The negative impacts will be minimized by the proper EMP.
Health and Safety Monitoring Plan The health of all employees shall be monitored once in a year for early detection of any ailment due to exposure to dust, heat and noise. Donation - The proponent proposed to give donations for construction or improvement of roads, hospital facility, school buildings, temples, acquiring medical equipment s, etc. Emergency Services This includes the fire-fighting system, first aid center, hospital etc. Alternate sources of power supply for operating fire pumps, communication with local bodies, fire brigade etc., will also be clearly identified. Adequate number of external and internal telephone connections shall be installed.
