You are expected to actively participate in discussion with your fellow students. This means making multiple postings (on various days and times within the assigned Unit) to show evidence that you have read and considered the course resources, and have read and thought about what your colleagues in the course are saying. I am looking for collegiality, disagreement (kind and supportive), justification for a point of view, and critical thought (more than general personal opinion). Postings should be made within the timeframe indicated in the detailed course schedule provided in UR Courses post early within the Unit and engage actively throughout the Unit. b) Case Write-ups (Individual or Duo You Choose): (3 x 10%) There are THREE cases for short Individual/Duo write-ups (maximum two pages, double-spaced, 12 pt. Arial or equivalent size font). Each case write-up is worth 10 marks for a total of 30 marks for all write-ups. Questions for each case will be provided to guide your responses. The write-ups are to be submitted in UR Courses in the designated assignment area. c) CONNECT Homework Assignments (Individual): (4 x 6%) FOUR Units have Interactive Homework Assignments that need to be completed in the McGraw-Hill CONNECT website before the end of the assigned Unit. e) HRM Simulation (Duos/Trios): (25%) Each student is required to participate in the HRM simulation which provides simulated real world experience in making HR decisions and interpreting relevant outcomes. The HRM simulation will require assigned Duos/Trios to work collaboratively to manage a budget and make a series of HR decisions throughout the semester. A final team presentation and peer evaluation is required. Decisions are submitted online at the HR Simulation website. Additional information will be posted in UR Courses.
