JOB DESCRIPTION POST: REPORTS TO: Employee Resourcing Administrator Employee Resourcing Manager RESPONSIBLE TO: Assistant Director of HR. Employment, Performance and Corporate Services LOCATION: JOB SUMMARY Employee Resourcing Department The post holder will be required to provide a full range, high quality administrative service to the Human Resources function, under the guidance and direction of the Employee Resourcing Manager. Main Duties and Responsibilities 1. To provide up-to-date, factual advice to internal and external customers on a range of HR policies, procedures and processes, e.g. terms and conditions of service, selection and recruitment issues, superannuation scheme etc. 2. To co-ordinate and plan recruitment and selection drives, including the placement of advertisements following due process, short listing and interviewing arrangements, and liaising with relevant managers as appropriate. 3. To ensure the maintenance and development of efficient and effective administrative systems, and the implementation of improvements and additions required, in accordance with Trust policies and procedures. 4. To communicate with successful and unsuccessful applicants, e.g. success letters, contracts of employment etc. 5. To supervise the work of junior staff, both permanent and temporary, on a dayto-day basis, within the authority delegated to the post holder. 6. To participate in selection and recruitment of junior staff, as required. 7. To process applications for placing of agency staff, following due process. 8. To maintain a register of agency staff and provide monthly reports of same, as required.
9. To ensure Human Resources manual and computerised filing and information systems, e.g. HRMS, are kept up-to-date, as required. 10. To liaise with Payroll in order to ensure relevant documentation and/or information is processed in a timely and accurate manner. 11. To process all documentation and provide relevant advice in a timely and accurate manner, i.e. in relation to issues such as ill-health retirement, maternity leave applications, superannuation scheme etc. 12. To accompany relevant managers on home visits, in accordance with the Trust s Attendance Management Policy, as required. 13. To liaise with outside agencies as appropriate, i.e. Occupational Health Service. 14 To order stationery and supplies, and maintain stock control, as required. 15.
