QUESTION 1 SOALAN 1 Mak Timah Company produces banana chips. The total variable cost including raw materials is RM25 per unit, the labour cost is RM20 per unit and other costs is RM10. Meanwhile, the total fixed cost for the period is RM50,000 and the product were sold at RM80 per pack. Syarikat Mak Timah mengeluarkan kerepek pisang. Jumlah kos berubah termasuklah kos bahan mentah RM25 seunit, kos buruh RM20 seunit dan lain-lain kos RM10 seunit. Jumlah kos tetap adalah sebanyak RM50,000 dan dijual pada harga RM80 sebungkus. QUESTION 2 SOALAN 2 (a) Encik Aiman wishes to give a sum of money to his son who studied in standard one in primary school in their district for excellence performance in the last final examination. He deposited RM 500 in his saving account that will give 8% return. Calculate the amount that Encik Aiman s son will receive when he reaches 21 years old when the interest compounded: Encik Aiman bercadang untuk menghadiahkan sejumlah wang kepada anaknya yang berada di tahun satu di sebuah sekolah kebangsaan di daerahnya dengan mendepositkan sebanyak RM500 di sebuah institusi kewangan berlesen yang memberikan pulangan sebanyak 8% atas simpanan yang dibuat. (b) A promissory note dated 15.9.2012 that due in 60 days is discounted on 1.10.2012 at 10% discount rate. The proceed was RM545. Find the maturity value of the notes. Sekeping nota janji bertarikh 15.09.2012 untuk tempoh 60 hari telah dijual pada 1.10.2012 dengan kadar diskaun 10%. Nilai yang diterima ialah RM545. Kirakan nilai matang bagi nota tersebut.
