ART 4.1.2.3.3 Move by Water Provide for the movement of unit personnel, equipment, and sustainment cargo through and between Army water terminals. Water transport operations are conducted at established ocean and river ports, beach sites, and inland waterways. They are an integral part of inland waterway and shore-to-shore operations. Tasks include offshore ship discharge, inland waterway, and shore-to-shore operations for logistic purposes including logistics over-the-shore. (FM 55-50) (CASCOM) Note: Amphibious operations as a task are addressed in ART 1.2.1.1.3 (Conduct an Amphibious Assault). NO.
