IBD in partnership with Daikin Taking advantage of the Renewable Heat Incentive

No more hassle for installers and homeowners Renewable choices and funding IBD Distribution can help installers and their customers take advantage of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) by supplying the products and all the technical support required to deliver an Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accredited air-source pump installation. RHI funding is available only to MCS approved installations. Many plumbing and heating installers do not want the hassle of getting involved directly, due to the upfront costs and admin required. This is where IBD Distribution can help. The company s Total MCS service allows installers to undertake RHI projects and homeowners to benefit from the available funding without any up-front investment. As a Daikin specialist renewable distributor, IBD: Offers a comprehensive range of MCS certified products and full technical back up Undertakes the system MCS design, final commissioning and project sign-off on behalf of the installer Facilitates free installation training through Daikin s regional training centres. To get things moving, installers simply provide details of their air-source heat pump project and, working with their preferred local merchant, IBD will: Produce a detailed, MCS compliant proposal Arrange delivery of your Daikin heat pump product(s) to the merchant Register the project as an MCS certified scheme Issue market-leading product and system design guarantees, including Daikin Altherma s market leading 3 year end-user warranty. The complete Renewable Solution from IBD In addition to Daikin heat pumps, IBD Distribution provides a complete range of other sustainable, energy efficient heating and ventilation solutions. Its professional team comprises experienced technicians, system designers, sales and marketing personnel with many years experience who fully understand how to specify and implement complete renewable solutions. IBD is a member of the Real Energy Consumer Code. The company also participates in the Home Insulation and Energy Systems Contractors Scheme (HIES) Consumer Code Scheme. The company is approved by BPEC for the design of MVHR and Underfloor Heating. NAPIT membership number is NAP 28766. For further information visit http://www.ibd-distribution.com/

Why choose a Daikin air source heat pump? The future of heating is here A high efficiency Daikin Altherma air-to-water heat pump (ASHP) uses heat from the outside air to warm a home s central heating and hot water systems. Even when it s freezing outside, a Daikin Altherma air-to-water heat pump can extract heat from the air using it as a highly effective form of renewable energy. For every kilowatt of electricity the heat pump uses, it generates about 3-4 kilowatts of renewable heat from the air. Over the course of a year, it s up to 300% efficient (even the most efficient fossil fuel boiler is less than 100% efficient). Best of all, running costs could be even lower when you choose Daikin, particularly if a home is heated by oil, LPG or electricity. The future of heating is here. Benefits of the Renewable Heat Incentive When you select an ASHP, funding may well be available from the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). This Government financial incentive that has been designed to encourage people to switch to renewable heating systems. It offers quarterly payments over seven years, based on a set of tariffs according to the type of system installed. Payments are usually based on the heating system s estimated annual heat use and made on the portion of renewable energy generated. For heat pumps, this figure is taken from the property s EPC, although its design efficiency (seasonal performance factor) is also factored in to calculate payments. For some households with a heat pump, metering may be required and the payments will be based on regular meter readings. The RHI makes an air source heat pump more attractive than ever for householders. The RHI tariff for air source heat pumps is currently 10.18p/kWh, meaning the initial up-front cost likely to be re-paid in 5-7years. Future tariffs will also be adjusted in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on 1 April each year. Applying for RHI To apply for the RHI, the applicant must own or occupy the property that the renewable heating system is in and must have a domestic Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for the property. Provided they meet the eligibility criteria, they can apply for the RHI whether they own their own home, are a self-builder, private landlord or Registered Social Landlord, or even if they don t own the property but do own the renewable heating system. For more information, see www.ofgem.gov.uk

The Daikin Altherma range from IBD IBD offers the full range of Daikin Altherma ASHPs These highly reliable domestic heating and hot water solutions are suitable for both new-build properties and retrofit projects. Fully compliant with ErP and other environmental directives, Daikin s high seasonal efficiency heat pumps are designed to lower energy bills and reduce carbon emissions. Select the right system to suit your needs Low Temperature Monobloc system Daikin Altherma Low Temperature (LT) Monobloc is the most compact ever all-in-one heat pump. Yet it s also extraordinarily efficient and reliable, all year round. A natural fit for homes where space is limited, the new Daikin Altherma LT Monobloc has only a wiring centre indoors, while the compact and quiet outdoor unit can be installed almost anywhere under a windowsill, or in the smallest of gardens. Perfect for an energy-efficient new property, it s also suitable for replacing an older heating system. 1. Coefficient of Performance up to 5* 2. Space-saving design 3. Reliable operation even when -25 C outside Low Temperature Split system Daikin Altherma Low Temperature (LT) Split is the most versatile and efficient air-to-water heat pump for new properties and low energy homes. Offering the ultimate in comfort and control for heating and hot water, the Daikin Altherma LT Split system includes a space saving, wall-hung indoor unit and optional hot water cylinder, while the compact and quiet outdoor unit can be installed almost anywhere up to 50 metres from the property. Perfect for an energy-efficient new home, it s also suitable for replacing an older heating system. 1. High efficiency (COP up to 5.04*) with typical annual efficiencies of up to 300% 2. Ideal for new properties and low energy homes 3. Reliable operation even when -25 C outside * 5kW Daikin Altherma LT Monobloc tested in accordance to EN 14511 at A7 W35 * 4kW Daikin Altherma LT Split tested in accordance to EN 14511 at A7 W35 (COP 5.04)

High Temperature Split system Daikin Altherma High Temperature (HT) air-to-water heat pump is the ideal solution for refurbishment and renovation projects. Designed to work perfectly with existing radiators, it can replace an existing boiler with little fuss. To minimise the floor space needed inside, the indoor unit and hot water cylinder can be stacked one on top of the other, or installed side by side where ceiling heights are low, while the compact and quiet outdoor unit can be installed up to 50 metres from the property. Offering efficient heating and hot water, with fast heat-up times, the Daikin Altherma HT promises comfort and reliability even when it s below zero outside. 1. Ideal for refurbishment and retrofit projects 2. Works with your existing radiators 3. Simple replacement for oil boiler Hybrid systems The hybrid heating system combines renewable heat pump technology with a traditional gas boiler. The hybrid gas boiler automatically selects the most efficient mode, choosing between heat pump, boiler and hybrid modes to give the most economical or ecological operation, depending on preference. Daikin Altherma Hybrid system is the most advanced way to replace a gas or LPG boiler combining a familiar gas boiler with the added efficiency of a renewable energy heat pump to give you the best of both worlds. 1. Two-in-one heating system for total peace of mind 2. Automatically selects the most energy-efficient operation 3. Works with all types of radiators* * For the highest savings, always choose low temperature radiators
