Sanitary Pressure Regulators, RHPS Series 3 Introduction The Swagelok sanitary pressure regulators include the PRS series, a pressure-reducing regulator, and the TRS series, a tank blanketing regulator. oth series are compliant with FD/USP Class VI and feature 316L stainless steel metal components and EPDM seals. These sanitary regulators are designed for pressures up to 232 psig (16. bar) and are available with sanitary clamp end connections. The PRS series pressure regulator features a handle knob for pressure adjustment; the TRS series tank blanketing regulator has an adjusting screw for pressure adjustment. Testing Every RHPS series sanitary pressure regulator is factory tested with nitrogen or air at 232 psig (16. bar), or its maximum rated pressure if less than 232 psig (16. bar). Shell testing is performed to a requirement of no detectable leakage with a liquid leak detector. Oxygen Service Hazards For more information about hazards and risks of oxygenenriched systems, see the Oxygen System Safety technical report, MS-6-13. RHPS series pressure regulators are not Safety ccessories as defined in the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC. Do not use the regulator as a shutoff device. Cleaning and Packaging Every RHPS series sanitary pressure regulator is cleaned and packaged in accordance with Standard Cleaning and Packaging (SC-1), MS-6-62. Cleaning and packaging to ensure compliance with product cleanliness requirements stated in STM G93 Level C is available as an option.
