Physical Inspections Visits/Reports Aghara USO Tower Site in Chamba District Geographically Himachal Pradesh is a hilly state and 80% of its population resides in rural areas. Being hilly and difficult area the role of telecommunication services in Himachal Pradesh is very vital. and RCL have signed agreements with the DOT under the Universal Services Obligation Schemes install VPTs and RDELs in the rural areas. and RCIL are also the Infrastructure Providers (IPs) & Universal Service Providers (USPs) for installation of mobile phase-i wers (258) in Himachal Pradesh. Most of the wers are located on mountain ps or on slopes. Many wers sites are not connected by roads and inspection team has walk on foot for 3-5 Kilometers on ugh & steep high terrains reach USO installations. At majority of USO wer sites, inspection team has undertake difficult and dangerous walks up the hill and climbing heights of more than 2000 meters above sea level.

RCIL has installed 72 out of 75 Towers as on 31.03.2010. Physical verification for 44 Towers has been completed by CCA office up 31.03.2010 IR reports Reports released SARMOCH (CHAMBA) KUNEDH (CHAMBA) Phographs taken during joint physical verification of RCIL USO Towers in Cluster-21 of Chamba District. Those seen in the phographs are Sh J.R. Kaundal, CAO & Sh. Vijay Kumar, Sr.Acctt. of CCA office along with Shri Raj Singh Chauhan D.E. (Mob. Net Work) and Sh. Rohit Shorie, RCIL.
