Newly Qualified Social Worker (ASYE) INFORMATION PACK This pack contains a welcome letter from the Chief Executive, the Job Description, Person Specification and guidance on how to apply.
Welcome from Nicola Clemo, Chief Executive Thank you for your interest in working with Slough Children's Services Trust (SCST). I know that once you have looked at the information on this website, you will apply for one of our exciting opportunities to work together to help improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people in the borough. The Trust has been set up to focus solely on the delivery of children s services in Slough. Our independence helps our Board, senior team and all our colleagues work towards the delivery of outstanding services, to try out new ways of working, to adopt the best evidence based practice from other areas and to ensure Slough becomes one of the best places in the country for the delivery of children s services. As chief executive of Slough Children's Services Trust I have a clear vision for the Trust, but we will develop the core values by which we will all operate in collaboration. Our staff are our most valuable asset and their development and support is critical to our new way of working. Whilst we improve we must not lose sight of our priority to ensure that children in Slough are safe, secure and successful and for SCST to be an outstanding service in five years. We are therefore inviting invitations from candidates that have a proven track record of providing excellent social care services. We are looking to recruit the highest quality staff to join our team to build on good practice. We are looking for individuals who are determined, enthusiastic and share the same high aspirations we have for our children and young people. We want to ensure that as well as becoming one of the best places in the country for the delivery of services to vulnerable children and families, Slough becomes one of the best places in the country to be a social worker. To compete with the very best employers we offer a comprehensive package of financial and non-financial benefits including learning and development opportunities, competitive salaries and retention payments. Pension arrangement and continuous service arrangements will be the same as those within local government. If you are up to the challenge and thrive in a vibrant team environment then this is the place for you. But more than that, and what I think should attract you to this role, is the career defining opportunity to get in on the ground floor and be part of our journey. Please come and join us. If you need any more information or would like an informal chat about the work of the Trust and the roles advertised, please check our website (www.scstrust.co.uk) or contact Joanne Hatfield, Head of HR, by email: Joanne.Hatfield@scstrust.co.uk.
