Do not proceed with work until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected in manner acceptable to Installer. 3.02 PLUMBING PIPING SYSTEM INSULATION A. Insulation Omitted. Omit insulation on chrome-plated exposed piping (except for handicapped fixtures), air chambers, unions, flanges, strainers, check valves, balance cocks, flow regulators, drain lines from water coolers, drainage piping located in crawl spaces or tunnels, buried piping, fire protection piping, and pre-insulated equipment. Omit insulation on exposed plumbing fixture runouts from faces of wall or floor to fixture; on unions, flanges, strainers, flexible connections, and expansion joints. B. Cold Piping: 1. Application Requirements: Insulate the following cold plumbing piping systems: a. Domestic cold water piping. 2. Insulate each piping system specified above with one of the following types and thicknesses of insulation: a. Pipe size 1" and smaller: Flexible unicellular (Armaflex) 1/2" thick. b. Pipe size 1 ½ and less: ½ polyethylene foam(imcoa) or fiberglass. c. Pipe Size 2 and larger: 1 fiberglass. 3.03 DUCTWORK SYSTEM INSULATION A. Cold Ductwork (below ambient temperature): 1. Application Requirements: Insulate the following cold ductwork: 1. HVAC supply ductwork between RTU fan discharge to last supply grille. 2.
