JOB DESCRIPTION: PROJECT MANAGER, EPMO DEPARTMENT: Enterprise Project Management Senior Manager, Project REPORTS TO: Office (EPMO) Services JOB CLASS: Project Manager PAY GRADE: 37 EXEMPT STATUS: Exempt DATE: 07/17/2012 Our Mission is to deliver a high quality, technology-based education that provides the skills and knowledge students need for success. POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY: The Project Manager manages 2-3 projects concurrently, depending on size and complexity, and delivers against a timeline, budget, and scope in order to recognize and mitigate risks and impacts. The Project Manager exhibits understanding of the EPMO processes and is able to accurately produce quality project artifacts. The Project Manager understands the corporate and department strategies for Information Technology (IT), EPMO, and Business focus area to ensure that individual project positively impact the big picture. Finally, the Project Manager participates in the health/wellness and development of the EPMO processes and department. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: Apply Project Management & Control methodologies, tools and processes to plan, track and monitor project progress from initiation through implementation to ensure successful delivery of products and/or services within timeline, budget, scope (value) and quality Plan in advance of all major milestones and deliverables and drives tasks to the work plan and revises as needed to meet scope changes and customer requirements Ensure resources are secured at a project level by working with Business Unit and Information Technology management and 3rd party vendors Coordinate and manage vendors to ensure deliverables meet scope of work and quality standards Ensure the creation, accuracy, thoroughness and quality of all project artifacts (i.e. Project Charter, Kick Off meeting, Business Requirements, metrics monitoring (budget, time and scope), presentations, estimates, test plan/cases, risk mitigation, work plans, change requests, change management and project closing deliverables) through stakeholder and toll-gate approval Lead requirements elicitation workshops with key stakeholders and SME s to understand and document their business requirements and effectively translate into system functionality Facilitate effective and efficient meetings with stakeholders, monitor issues and assign follows-up action items with owner and timeline Identify, document, communicate, and mitigate risks and issues providing management information of progress and escalating when deemed appropriate Develop and distribute weekly project status reports to stakeholders Ensure team members accurately and consistently report time at the project activity/task level Project Manager, EPMO Page 1 of 5 Rev 01/2014

Manage and monitor project budget by tracking deliverables, resource hours, and timely/accurate vendor invoicing Deliver informative and well-organized presentations and briefings to management Develop and maintain interdepartmental and key focus area partnerships Provide general leadership, guidance, and support to relative team members in order to collaborate, give feedback, develop plans, and reach team and individual goals Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established (These essential functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience o Industry certifications in software, systems, network or project management, preferred Experience: Five years project management experience Experience with financial data/basic accounting principles Knowledge, abilities and skills: Ability to work with and through people to establish goals, objectives, and action plans Knowledge base and skill set on Project Management discipline Knowledge of performance measures affiliated with productivity and effective project management Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, RUP and/or Waterfall lifecycle methodologies Skills in the effective use of Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project Knowledge of product management concepts and how enterprise software products are positioned and developed Ability to work in a fast-paced, high traffic technology driven environment Knowledge and understanding of Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures Strong interviewing and facilitation skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Sound judgment and decision making abilities Problem-solving (root cause analysis) skills Strong PC and peripheral knowledge/skills Knowledge Windows 2000/XP, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of MS Project or similar Project Management software Knowledge of UNIX, SQL, and INFORMIX General understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design Project Manager, EPMO Page 2 of 5 Rev 01/2014
