NOTICE TO ALL BIDDERS: This addendum is issued to clarify, revise, add to or delete from, the original specification documents for the above project. This addendum, as integrated with the original specification documents, shall form the specification documents. The noted revisions shall take precedence over previously issued specification documents and shall become part of this contract. REVISIONS TO THE SUBMITTAL DEADLINE: The submittal deadline remains the same. All materials required and not listed herein, to be furnished by Tacoma Water, shall be furnished by the Contractor. This project is the replacement of existing asbestos cement water main, in the identified area of the City of University Place and the City of Fircrest. All materials required and not listed herein, to be furnished by Tacoma Water, shall be furnished by the Contractor. END OF SECTION Section 1-07.6 Permits and Licenses that read: Before beginning and during all phases of work, the Contractor shall obtain and comply with all provisions of the Right of Way and Miscellaneous Trench permits as issued by the City of University Place, City of Tacoma and the City of Fircrest for this project. For reference in this project, the City of Fircrest has jurisdiction over Alameda Avenue West, the City of University Place has jurisdiction over 42 nd Street West, Kootnai Street West, Shoshone Street West, and Alturus Street West. A copy of the City of University Place Right of Way permit ROW15-0018 is attached to this specification. A copy of the City of Fircrest Street Work Permit #2015.0035.SW002 is attached to this specification. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining a Miscellaneous Trench permit from the City of Tacoma for sidewalk restoration at South 64 th Street and South Park Avenue. A miscellaneous trench permit application for this project has been submitted to Building and Land Use Services by Tacoma Water. The permit will be issued to the Contractor following approval of the Contractor s traffic control plan. Fees for this permit will be paid by Tacoma Water. Traffic control plans shall be submitted to the City of University Place, City of Tacoma, and the City of Fircrest, for review and comment. When using the WSDOT Standard K Plans, the street names are to be listed on the plans with construction start date and intended working hours. Water used during construction can be obtained from an approved Tacoma Water fire hydrant. The Contractor will be billed for the water used and shall pay for a Hydrant Use Permit and make a deposit on the water meter. The Contractor shall contact the Water Permit Counter at (253) 502-8247, for information regarding water consumption fees, Hydrant Use Permit fees, meter deposits and approved Tacoma Water hydrant locations. Traffic control plans shall be submitted to the City of University Place, and the City of Fircrest, for review and comment. When using the WSDOT Standard K Plans, the street names are to be listed on the plans with construction start date and intended working hours. Water used during construction can be obtained from an approved Tacoma Water fire hydrant. Section 8-14 is revised to read: 8-14 CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALKS 8-14.1 Description This section is supplemented with the following: The cement concrete sidewalks shall be constructed to match existing sidewalks that were removed during construction of water mains. REVISIONS TO THE PLANS: END OF SECTION Drawing number 10-70-13 sheets 1 and 2, are deleted from this specification. City of Tacoma Standard plans, SU-03, SU-04, SU-05, and SU-05A are deleted from this specification. REVISIONS TO THE PROPOSAL PAGES: The following are additions and changes to the proposal items, and are listed here to provide the bidder with information on the changes. The following items have been revised in the proposal: The references to Schedule A and Schedule B have been removed.
