Africa combines the greatest need with the greatest potential POPULATION GROWTH IMPORTS & HUNGER MOBILE = KING The African population will grow from 1 to 2 to 4 bln from now to 2050 to 2100. Africa is a net food importer. Still, 1 in 5 is undernourished. In SSA 12% of adults have mobile bank accounts versus 2% worldwide. YOUNG WORK FORCE >60% of Africans is <25 years. By 2035, more SSA ns will reach working age than rest of world combined. YIELD POTENTIAL In SSA, crops yield only 20-30% of potential Africa irrigates only about 5% of its arable land, and uses only 2% of global fertilizers.
