ARC offers system fl exibility to optimise cos!. These are the ideal solution for corrosion problems faced in industrial environments. It forms the right repiacemcni for Sleel or aluminium gratings used in highly corrosive atmosphere. MO ULDED GRATINGS & T READS: ARC moulded fibreglass grating I tread is a siro ng mesh panel which is the chemical resistant flooring choice for many industrial applications. The panels are moulded in one piece, which helps distribute the load to both bearing and cross bars. Continuous fiberglass roving winding in aliemaling layers is thoroughly wetted with resin. When the load is applied to the grating I tread bars, the weight is transferred to adjoining cross bars and bearing bars for even load distribution. The cost- effective panels allow for efficient on-site c utting to minimize grating I tread waste and load bearing bars in both directions allow for use without continuous side suppon. The ARC mo ulded fibreglass grating I tread is sign ificantly lighter in weight than metallic gratings I treads and the high resin content provides long, virtually maintenance-free perfonnance. A higher safety fa ctor is achieved by designing higher glass content at the bottom of the grating / tread for greater tensile strength. All the resins contain a protective UV inhibitor. The gratings / treads have a concave profile on the upper surface, which is skid resistant. However, on request, additionally a slip resistant grilled top surface can also be provided. The grating I tread shall be one-piece construction with the tops of the bearing bars and cross bars in the same plane. Available in green, orange, yellow, black & grey colours.

Panel Insta llation - Typically all fasteners used, are Stainless Steel 316. The grating! tread fasteners have low profi les, which eliminates rripping hazards. We recommend using at least 8 clips on a panel of size 1000 mm x 3000 mm. Smaller panels must be secured with no fewer than 4 clips. Type M C lips For attaching grating I tread to supports. Type J Cli ps For attaching grating / tread to supports for moderate loads. Type C Clips For joining two unsupported edges if needed.

FRP STAIR TREAD COVERS The moulded fibreglass stair tread covers provide an easy. cost-effective way to increase the safety of stairways. The ARC stair tread covers are ideal for use in any area where frequent use or exposure to slippery environments increases the risk of accidents. The covers fealure a durable gritted surface and a highly vis ible nosing to ensure years of safe, maintenance-free service. The covers also improve the appearance of warped, chipped. and ronen steps and are perfect for use in commercial building applications where it is important to maintain an attractive appearance. Construction The moulded fibreglass stair tread covers are manufactured using high strength fibreglass mat in combination with a choice afresin systems. The top surface is coated with a si lica grit to provide a slip resistant, durable tread. Installation tel.! l it u The covers should be installed on a clean, level surface. Use grout or other suitable material to level uneven surfaces prior to installation. Sand the bottom surface of the stair tread cover ifbonding tread covers to stairs. Two-part epoxy is recommended for bonding. Use wood screws to thru-bolt covers 10 wood stairs. Use expansion anchors, sleeve anchors or concrete screws to fasten covers to concrete stairs. If fastening covers to steel or fibreglass stair treads, use a plate washer with a truss head bolt and nut. Al l fasteners should be 3 16 Stainless Steel. PULTRUDED GRATINGS & TREADS : The ARC gratings and treads are high strength pultruded bar type gratings that can be designed and used like traditional metal grates but have the inherent benefits of fib reglass. These problem solving products are ideal replacements for steel or aluminium gratings in corrosive environments or anywhere frequent grating and walkway replacement costs are unacceptable. TheARCfibreglass gratings are a composite of fibreglass reinforcements (fibres and mat) and a thennosetting resin system, produced by the pultrusion process. The pultrusion manufacturing process produces many of the outstanding characteristics of the product. The bearing bars use both longitudinal (glass roving) and multidirectional (glass mat) reinforcements as well as a synthetic surfacing veil to provide unequalled strength and corrosion resistance. The densely packed core of continuous glass rovings gives the bar strength and stiffness in the longitudinal direction while the continuous glass mat provides strength in the transverse direction and prevents chipping, cracking and lineal fracturing. The synthetic surfacing veil provides a 100% pure resin surface for added corrosion resistance and UV protection. The 3-piece cross-rod assembly used in grating forms a strong, unified panel that can be cut and fabricated like a solid sheet. This unique system consists of two continuous, pultruded spacer bars and a centre core wedge. The spacers are notched at each bearing bar so that the bars are both mechanically locked and chemically bonded to the web of each bearing bar. This separates and affixes bearing bars firmly in position and distributes concentrated loads to adjacent bars. A wide variety of bearing bar shapes along with various bearing bar and cross bar spacing's are available depending on the design requirements. a). The traditional 'I' section bearing bar provides maximum fl exibility in design - available in 25mm and 38mm height. b). The 'T' section bearing bar provides a more solid walking surface and prevents catching of pointed heel shoes and other objects between the bars - available in 38mm and SOmm height. c). The 'Solid rectangular' section bearing bar is designed to take heavy vehicular loads - available in 25mm, 32mm, 38mm, 4Smm, SOmm, 57mm and 65mm height.

Angle The ARC pultruded fibreglass Angle provides a strong, finn base for bearing bars and is pultruded from the same material and in the same manner. b). Panel Installation - The panels are available in size 1.0 mtr x 1.0 mtr. Typically all fasteners used, are Stainless Steel 316. The grating / tread fasteners have low profiles, which eliminates tripping hazards. We recommend using at least 8 clips on a panel of size 1000 mm x 3000 mm. Smaller panels must be secured with no fewer than 4 cl ips. Type Saddle Clip (used for 50% & 60% open area) For attaching grating / tread to supports.
