C3 IoT is a Computer Software Company C3 IoT delivers a comprehensive platform as a service (PaaS) for rapidly developing and operating big data, artificial intelligence, and IoT software as a service (SaaS) applications. C3 IoT also offers a family of configurable and extensible SaaS products developed with and operating on its PaaS. C3 Type System At the heart of all C3 IoT products is the C3 Type System, a data object-centric abstraction layer that binds the various C3 IoT Platform components, including infrastructure and services. It is both sufficient and necessary for developing and operating complex predictive analytics and IoT applications in the cloud. The C3 Type System is the medium through which application developers and data scientists access the C3 IoT Platform, C3 Data Lake, C3 Applications, and applications and microservices. Examples of C3 Types include data objects (e.g., customer, product, supplier, contract, or sales opportunity) and their methods, application logic, and machine learning classifiers. The C3 Type System allows programs, algorithms, and data structures written in different languages, with different computational models, making different assumptions about the underlying infrastructure to interoperate without knowledge of the underlying physical data models, data federation and storage 2017 C3 IoT 1 models, interrelationships, dependencies, or the bindings between the various structural platform or cloud infrastructure services and components (e.g., RDBMS, No SQL, ETL, SPARK, Kafka, Amazon SQS, Amazon Kinesis, object models, classifiers, data science tools, etc.). The C3 Type System provides RESTful interfaces and programming language bindings to ALL underlying data and functionality. Leveraging the C3 Type System, application developers and data scientists can focus on delivering immediate value, without the need to learn, integrate, or understand the complexities of the underlying systems. The C3 Type System enables programmers and data scientists to develop and deploy production big data, predictive analytics, and IoT applications in one-tenth the time at one-tenth the cost of alternative technologies.

C3 IoT Offers Two PaaS Products C3 Data Lake A comprehensive development and operating environment for rapidly integrating structured and unstructured enterprise, extraprise, and sensor data into a RESTful unified, federated data image that is kept current in real time as new data arrive. The C3 Data Lake offers near-real time enterprise data concurrency. C3 IoT Platform A development and operating platform leveraging the C3 Type System for executing high-performance and horizontally-scalable SaaS applications. The C3 IoT Platform includes the functionality of the C3 Data Lake and adds a complete and integrated family of software engineering and administration tools for designing, developing, provisioning, deploying, and operating big data, predictive analytics, and IoT SaaS applications. 2017 C3 IoT 3

The C3 IoT Platform includes a complete set of developer and administrative tools: C3 Data Integrator A graphical editor for data engineers to develop integrations to various source data systems (e.g., IT, OT, IoT, and third party). It simplifies data mapping and transformation to source systems through an extensible unified XML data exchange format and a library of pre-built connectors. C3 Type Designer A graphical editor for data modelers to define a logical enterprise object model consisting of data objects, their properties and methods, object relationships, and mappings to the physical data model and data stores. It enables the extension and configuration of the C3 Type System. C3 IDE A C3 Type-aware integrated development environment providing software programmers a productive user interface, including a source code editor with intelligent code completion, a C3 Type browser and documentation, and source code compiler, debugger, and version control. C3 Data Explorer A visual interface for application engineers and data scientists to easily view and analyze the C3 Type System and underlying data in the C3 IoT Platform or C3 Data Lake without requiring knowledge of the underlying data stores, physical data schema, or infrastructure services. C3 Analytics Designer A user interface for application developers and data scientists to flexibly define, extend, and run simple and compound metrics and analytics. It is commonly used by data scientists for feature engineering and by application developers for business logic and presenting summary information in a user interface. C3 Ex Machina An in-memory visual analytics design tool for business analysts and data scientists to explore data, discover features, and develop artificial intelligence (AI) classifiers utilizing data from the C3 Data Lake or the C3 IoT Platform and any additional arbitrary data sets. It provides support for a variety of common machine learning models, including Random Forest, PCA, Linear and Logistic Regression, KMeans, Gradient Boosted Trees, Gaussian Mixture, and Decision Tree. C3 Data Science Notebook An open and extensible interface, that integrates popular data science languages (e.g., Python, R, Scala) and third-party libraries (e.g., MLlib, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, Tensorflow and PyTorch) with the C3 Type System and objects, methods, and data available in the C3 IoT Platform. The C3 Type System provides data scientists with RESTful interfaces and programming language bindings to ALL underlying platform functionality, allowing users to rapidly explore data, discover features, and develop AI classifiers in an elastically scalable environment. Resultant algorithms can be immediately deployed into production, without any recoding, and are accessible as RESTful C3 Types in the C3 IoT Platform. C3 UI Designer A C3 Type-aware integrated development environment providing software programmers a productive user interface, including a source code editor with intelligent code completion, a C3 Type browser and documentation, and source code compiler, debugger, and version control. 2017 C3 IoT 4

Each of these products is fully functional out of the box, as well as customizable and extensible to meet each customer s functional, predictive analytic, and data science requirements. C3 IoT Product Trials C3 IoT provides trials of the C3 Applications, the C3 IoT Platform, and the C3 Data Lake. These turnkey projects range from six to 12 weeks in duration, during which a team of forward-deployed C3 IoT data engineers, product specialists, and data scientists work together with the customer team to design, develop, and deploy a production-ready machine learning application on the C3 IoT Platform using customer data from up to eight unique source data systems and/or sensor systems. In addition to delivering a working application, the trials validate the business value associated with deploying the application and provide training on the C3 IoT products. C3 IoT Center of Excellence To accelerate development and production deployment of a family of customer-specific big data, predictive analytics, and IoT applications across an enterprise, C3 IoT offers a highly experienced onsite team of up to six software engineers, data scientists, product specialists, and project managers for an extended period (up to three years) to work collaboratively with customer teams in a jointly established Center of Excellence (CoE). The objective of the C3 IoT CoE team is to train a sizeable customer team (between 50 to 200 personnel) to be fully capable of developing and operating machine learning and IoT applications independently of C3 IoT. The purpose of the CoE is to provide customer project teams: 1. Support and guidance on software application design and architecture; 2. Data integration, data science, and application development support on the C3 IoT Platform; C3 IoT CoE resources assist in training customer teams to perform the following: 1. Develop a project work plan; 2. Develop application functional specifications; 3. Develop application technical designs; 3. Training on the C3 IoT Platform for project team members; and 4. Configure applications; 4. Highest levels of technical support to assure customers ongoing success. 6. Configure analytic algorithms, develop machine learning classifiers, and verify successful results of those classifiers; and 5. Design user interfaces; 7. Provision and test applications. The training includes best practices to design, develop, provision, quality assure, performance test, and maintain and upgrade production applications on the C3 IoT Platform. C3 IoT will set up the development, quality assurance (QA), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production environments for the C3 IoT Platform for use by the customer s development team. CoE Project Governance C3 IoT assigns an executive sponsor and conducts formal monthly joint project reviews and semi-annual product roadmap meetings with customer teams. C3 IoT will also conduct quarterly executive project status reviews in face-to-face meetings with the C3 IoT executive sponsor and customer executive sponsor. A quarterly executive status report will be published jointly for such reviews. 2017 C3 IoT 7

Customer Services Professional Services C3 IoT provides a full range of customer services, including Internet self-service, 24 x 7 call center support, and forward-deployed onsite engineering support in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. C3 IoT offers a complete range of professional service support both onsite and remotely, including application roadmap design, project management, system design, data modeling, data integration, application design, development support, data science, application and platform administration support, and onsite training. C3 IoT Solution Partners Developer Support C3 IoT integration, development, and data science partners support C3 IoT customers globally. These partners include Amazon Web Services (AWS), West Monroe, Capgemini, EY, Silicon Valley Data Science, Cognizant, and Mu Sigma. Developer.C3IoT.com provides a comprehensive online curriculum and tutorials for developers to rapidly learn the skills necessary to develop and administer big data, predictive analytics, and IoT applications using the C3 IoT Platform. All C3 IoT documentation is available online. Developers can automatically provision their C3 IoT Platform on the AWS cloud. Community.c3iot.com provides a crowd-sourcing and support network, similar to Stack Overflow, for the developer and enthusiast communities. Operating Environments C3 IoT Customers To date, most C3 IoT customers have elected to deploy the C3 IoT PaaS and SaaS solutions on the AWS cloud. The C3 IoT Platform and SaaS production applications are tried, tested, and proven at petabyte scale at a growing number of large industrial corporations, including aerospace, high technology, utilities, integrated energy, oil and gas, financial services, healthcare, discrete manufacturing, and manufacturing companies.
