ATTACHMENT A SCOPE OF WORK PROJECT: Dick s Sporting Goods Demolition Package BID DUE DATE: Thursday, February 16, 2017at 3:00 PM AZ TIME The scope of work shall conform to plans and specifications and is to include; furnishing material, fabrication, delivery, installation, tools, trucking, equipment, labor, supervision, insurance, taxes, fees, incidentals, engineering and support functions necessary for and/or related to the proper execution of the work described hereafter. The work shall generally include, but is not limited to the following: A. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK INCLUDED 1. Refer to the sample contract (Exhibit C ) and contract General Conditions for general scope of work. The following general scope of work items are restated here in order to emphasize their importance: a. To minimize disruption to the facilities operation and to provide a safe environment for the public and construction personnel it is imperative that an intensive clean-up effort be maintained on a daily basis throughout the performance of this work. b. General Contractor as referred in this RFP shall be the Signage & Graphic Vendor/ Designer/ Fabricator/ Installer performing all work under this Section B specific scope of work c. General Contractor is responsible for storage and security of its own material, tools and equipment. d. The General Contractor will work with The Owner in scheduling delivery of materials to the jobsite. No provisions will be made for dedicated storage areas outside of the actual work areas. e. It is the intent of this contract that all work be performed as shown or as required to provide for an end result as contemplated by the contract documents. It is the responsibility of this General Contractor to carefully examine existing conditions in conjunction with the contract documents to ascertain the entire scope of work. No additional compensation will be allowed for the interface and/or coordination of this work with existing conditions that are apparent or reasonably inferable. f. General Contractor to include all wage and material escalation costs in its Base Proposal amount. g. All tie-ins to existing systems shall be accomplished so as not to interrupt or disrupt the normal business operations of adjacent tenants/ stores. ATTACHMENT A SCOPE OF WORK B. SPECIFIC SCOPE OF WORK INCLUDED 1. SPECIFIC SCOPE OF WORK: The General Contractor shall review all drawings, pre-bid meeting notes, site visit, etc. in order to fully familiar with the overall scope of the work. These itemized items below may not reflect all the activities within the site, but gives a brief overview of the work as follow: Interior Demolition (Gut) of the former Dick s Sporting Goods space, including, but not limited to interior partition walls, restrooms, offices, storage rooms; all flooring, wall decorations, etc. for a Warm Grey Shell condition as noted per Drawing by HKS Architects dated 1/31/17 per attached Bid Attachment D. Remove all decorative wall mounted along the demising wall of the space. Patch and paint demising wall one color for a uniform look (Wall-Sherwin Williams High Reflective White SW 7757). Protect in-place all existing Mechanical units. Verify/ check/ service the existing equipment for future operational use. Modify (turn up) fire sprinkler for a grey shell condition. Remove all HVAC distribution ducts and associated appurtenances (hanging wires, shelves, etc.) Remove all electrical distribution panels not used. Protect-in-place existing light fixtures use to illuminate the space. All other non-functional light fixtures (spot lights, display lights, decorative/ pendant lights, etc.) shall be removed in its entirety (fixture, track, J-box, conduit/ wires, etc.). Remove all excess electrical wires, conduits, cables, cable tray, low voltage wires, etc. Install/ Maintain fire alarm supervisory conduit and pull string as required for future tenant (s). Maintain and Protect-In-Place existing exterior storefronts, back of house door, vertical transportation (escalators & elevators), etc. Existing protect-in-place equipments shall be in good working order upon completion of this Scope of Work. Patch existing fire proofing material on all structural beams & columns damaged during demo operations. Fireproofing patches shall be painted to have uniform look throughout. Remove all previous floor finishes. Patch, clean, prep concrete floor as required. Install future utility stubs for a future tenant as noted per plans. Coordination of all phases, sequences, and installations for each trade with other GC/vendors and General Manager as applicable. Dick s Sporting Goods Demolition Package Page 4 of 12
ATTACHMENT A SCOPE OF WORK 2. PERMIT: General Contractor shall be responsible in providing all Permits as required for work under this scope of work. 3. CONSTRUCTION PLANNING: General Contractor shall take all necessary measures to ensure that the sequence of work is properly planned, prepared, and coordinated with the Owner s Representative and Mall Management personnel prior to the commencement of the Work. 4. DELIVERY OF MATERIALS TO THE SITE: This General Contractor shall be responsible for coordination with the Owner s Representative & Mall Management Team of its material deliveries to the Project Site. This General Contractor shall be responsible for unloading its material and stocking any necessary materials, tools, and equipment in such locations as designated by the owner s Representative. Any materials stored on site by the Site Contractor shall be done in a neat and orderly manner. Contractor shall take all precautions to protect its materials from inadvertent damage or theft. 5. CLEAN UP: General Contractor understands that this is a High Profile Project; therefore shall take all necessary measures to ensure a clean and safe site. General Contractor, or its subcontractors, shall be responsible for clean up at the end of each day. 6. BEST PRACTICES: This Scope of Work document is not meant to give specific guidance for each and every task or to cover all that will be expected and required of the General Contractor. General Contractor shall also include as part of its Scope of Work all other duties that are normal and customary and considered standard practice for general contractor and construction manager services under the Lump Sum type of contract. Contractor shall perform its obligations in accordance with the highest standard of care applicable to the performance of services and work of the type required. Bidder does not consider that any further examinations, investigations, explorations, tests, studies, or data are necessary for the determination of this Bid for performance of the Work at the price(s) bid and within the times and in accordance with the other terms and conditions of the Bidding Documents. F. Bidder is aware of the general nature of work as to be performed by the Owner and others at the Site that relates to the Work as indicated in the Bidding Documents. G.
