Necessary online testing arrangement and laboratory shall be developed by the GACL for ensuring compliance with the Gujarat Pollution Control Board norms round the clock. 6 Comprehensive Environment Impact Assessment report shall be submitted to this department and the recommendations/suggestions given therein shall be implemented. 7 The construction debris and sewage shall not be discharged in to the sea, creek or in the CRZ areas. The debris shall be disposed at an appropriate place in consultation with the local municipal authority. 8 The construction camps shall be located outside the CRZ area and the Point noted and complied. construction labor shall be provided with the necessary amenities, including sanitation, water supply and fuel and it shall be ensured that the environmental conditions are not deteriorated by the construction labors. 9 The groundwater shall not be tapped to meet with the water requirements in any case. 10 The Gujarat Ambuja Cements Limited shall take necessary measures for rain water harvesting and ground water recharging using the harvested rain water. 11 The cost of the external agency that may be appointed by this department for supervision/monitoring of the project activities during construction/operational phase shall be paid by the applicant. 12 Post project Environmental Monitoring report indicating impacts, if any, observed on the coastal and marine water quality and ecology of the region shall be submitted to this Department after one year of the commissioning of the proposed treated effluent disposal pipeline. 13 Greenbelt development program, including the mangrove plantation, shall be carried out in consultation with the Forest Department. Presently RO plant is not in operation since after it's commissioning. Point noted & being complied. Water requirement is not being met from ground water. Requirement of water is being fulfilled through private party purchasing. As a part of our corporate social responsibility policy, Ambuja Cement Foundation (ACF) is working in nearby villages for rain water harvesting & ground water recharging. Details of rain water harvesting work done by ACF is enclosed as Annexure A. Point noted and complied during All the applicable Environmental Monitoring parameters are being regularly monitored and report is being regularly submitted to Gujarat Pollution Control Board. Details of mangroves plantation project is also time to time submitted to Department of Environment & Forest. Complied. The local shore conditions are not conducive for mangroves plantation. However the company has established Nursery where in large variety and numbers of plants are grown for carrying out plantation at BCT Muldwarka and surrounding region. We have planted approx. 11200 nos. of various plant species. Mangroves plantation has been carried out in, 100 Hectares area at village - Karanj, Taluka - Olpad, District - Surat. Gujarat Ecology Comission, Gandhinagar is the implementing agency for the mangrove plantation project. Plantation has been completed in 100 ha. area. It is under maintenance period. Status

report of the mangroves plantation has been already submitted to MoEF/GPCB/CPCB vide our submission dated 25.12.2010 vide 14 Socio-economic upliftment programme in consultation with the District Collector/DDO shall be carried out. 15 Financial support shall be provided for implementation of National Green Corps Scheme being implemented by the GEER Foundation, Gandhinagar, in Junagadh District, in consultation with this Department. 16 Environmental Audit report indicating the changes, if any with respect to the baseline quality, in the coastal and marine environment shall be submitted every year. 17 The six monthly progress report regarding the compliance of the conditions shall be submitted to this department. 18 Any additional condition that may be imposed by this department from time to time shall have to be complied with by the Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd. This department reserves the right to revoke this clearance without prior information for non-compliance of any one or more of the above mentioned conditions. This clearance shall be valid for a period of three years from the date of issue of this letter. Fresh clearance shall be obtained in case of non-execution/non-implementation of the proposed project within the validity period. letter no.acl/emd/f-16/2010/55921. Ambuja Cement Foundation (ACF) is NGO managed by Ambuja Cements Ltd. is working in nearby villages for social up-liftmen of surrounding community. A glimpse about ACF & community development work done by ACF in surrounding areas in consultation with various Govt. agencies is enclosed as Annexure A. Environmental Audit is conducted by approved Environment Auditors on yearly basis & report is regularly submitted to Gujarat Pollution Control Board every year.
