QUESTION 10 SOALAN 10 C3 An enforcement officer from Environmental Department had investigated an open disposal site near a water source, Sungai Langat. He found that the waste mostly consists of petroleum products, detergent, bottles of alcohol, and car batteries. Based on the above statement, choose FOUR (4) suitable methods on how to dispose the waste. Seorang pegawai penguatkuasa dari Jabatan Alam sekitar telah menyiasat satu tapak pelupusan terbuka berhampiran sumber air, Sungai Langat. Dia mendapati bahawa kebanyakkan sisa terdiri daripada produk produk petroleum, bahan pencuci, botol botol alkohol dan bateri bateri kereta. Berdasarkan kenyataan di atas, pilih EMPAT (4) kaedah pelupusan yang sesuai bagi sisa sisa tersebut. 4 SULIT

QUESTION 2 SOALAN 2 a) Global warming refers to an average increase in the Earth's temperature, which in turn causes changes in climate. A warmer Earth may lead to changes in rainfall patterns, a rise in sea level, and a wide range of impacts on plants, wildlife, and humans. Identify possible solutions to prevent this phenomena. Pemanasan global merujuk kepada kenaikan suhu bumi, yang secara dasarnya akan mengakibatkan perubahan iklim. Suhu bumi yang tinggi akan menyebabkan perubahan corak hujan (monsun), kenaikan paras air laut, dan juga impak kepada tumbuh-tumbuhan, haiwan dan juga manusia. Kenalpasti kaedah penyelesaian bagi mengawal fenomena ini daripada berterusan. b) There are several types of air pollution control equipment used by the industries. Illustrate the principles of using the following equipment with the aid of diagrams : i. Gravitational settling chamber ii. QUESTION 3 SOALAN 3 a) Noise is described as unwanted sound that would be unpleasant to hear. It can harm human in the long term especially to the human hearing. Too much exposure to noise can lead to the hearing problem, hypertension and sleep disorder. Identify FIVE (5) major sources that contribute to this situation. Bunyi bising adalah bunyi yang tidak dikehendaki dan tidak selesa untuk didengar. Ia boleh memudaratkan manusia dalam tempoh masa yang panjang terutamanya kepada pendengaran manusia. Pendedahan yang keterlaluan kepada bunyi bising boleh membawa manusia berhadapan masalah pendengaran, tekanan melampau dan gangguan tidur. Kenalpasti LIMA (5) penyumbang utama kepada situasi ini. b) Give FIVE (5) effects of noise pollution towards human health and work quality. QUESTION 4 SOALAN 4 a) Explain the need for Effective Waste Management. Terangkan keperluan Pengurusan Sisa yang Berkesan. b) Landfill is one of the solid waste disposal methods. The improper disposing of solid waste will result in various health and environmental impacts such as infection of diseases, contaminated water resources and air pollution. Explain the impact on the environmental due to weak solid waste landfill disposal system. Kambus tanah merupakan salah satu kaedah pelupusan sisa pepejal. Pelupusan yang tidak sempurna akan menyebabkan masalah kesihatan dan impak kepada alam sekitar seperti jangkitan penyakit, pencemaran punca air dan pencemaran udara. Huraikan impak kepada persekitaran akibat sistem kambus tanah yang lemah. -SOALAN TAMAT- 8 SULIT
