Analysis Services - Overview SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is a multidimensional server that provides online analytical processing (OLAP) and data mining services Goals SSAS defines a Unified Dimensional Model (UDM, or Cube) that: Combines characteristics of Relational models (attributes and flexible relationships) Dimensional models (dimensions, measures, and hierarchies) towards millions of information records Query and reporting for statistical analysis Data mining Analyze data by using Microsoft Office Excel, SQL Server Tools and SharePoint
