Our Shower panels 10 YEARS Guarantee of Guarantee No Grout Our panels are guaranteed to remain watertight and waterproof for ten years from your date of purchase. Unlike tiles no grout is requred to fit the Wetwall system. This means less time to fit and an expert fitter is not required, which on averge makes the Wetwall system around 25% cheaper than tiles. For full terms and conditions see www.wetwall.com Waterproof 10 YEARS Unique Designs Unique Designs Crafted in Scotland Ecological Our panels are constructed by bonding High Pressure Laminate (HPL) to a Medite MR MDF core using a PVA (D4 rated) adhesive system to give a completely waterproof surface. Laminated panels feel much warmer than tiles and have a significantly lower u value (Thermal insulation) 3.4 typically compared to 5.9 (tiles). The effect of this is the room loses less heat and is therefore more efficient. Our Italian panels reflect the colours and textures of natural materials whist our Classic range is for those who want an elegant touch to their bathroom. A balancing laminate is bonded to the reverse of the panel also using the PVA adhesive system. This ensures the panels structural stability. Technical Information Specification Wetwall is constructed of a Medite MR Grade MDF, covered on the face with a high pressure laminate and a balancing laminate to the rear of the panel. Our waterproof gluelines are D4 rated. The shower panels are produced with a square edged finish as standard. A tongue and grooved wall panel is available for when the panels are needed to cover larger areas. It is recommended that Wetwall Silicone Sealant and Adhesive is used for all installations. Internal Corner Wetseal* End Cap H-Joint External Corner Bottom Profile** Tips Cutting When cutting the panels to width and height using a handsaw, the decorative face should be facing upwards. When cutting with a jigsaw or circular saw, the decorative face should be facing downwards. Apertures A clearance of 2-3mm should be left where pipes or fittings come through the panel even where collars are to be fitted. The clearance should then be filled with Wetwall silicone sealant. Sealing If a Wetseal is not being fitted then a 3-4mm gap should be left between the bottom of the panel and the shower tray or bath by using packers when fixing panels. The gaps should then be sealed using Wetwall silicone sealant. Wetwall silicone sealant should also be used in all the corner and capping profiles. Wall Surfaces The panels can be fixed to most surfaces using adhesive, providing they are sound and free from loose particles. The panels can also be fixed directly onto existing tiling providing they have been de-greased. Fittings Fittings and shower attachments can be fixed directly to the panels using suitable fixings. Heavier items such as sanitary ware and accessible furniture will require the provision of additional support behind the panels. Standard Installation If you are unsure about any fitting details or have a different type of installation please refer to our full installation guidelines at: www.wetwall.com/fitting Two Sided Shower 1. Fit an internal corner profile into the corner using appropriate fixings (screws), ensuring that the heads are countersunk to prevent fouling when fitting the panel. 2. Remove the film from the face of the panel and check for defects prior to cutting to size. 3. Apply a bead of sealant into one side of the internal corner profile, the amount of sealant applied should cover the channel bottom to a depth of at least 2mm. 4. The panels should be fitted such that a gap is formed between the bottom of the panels and the shower tray of between 3-4mm this should be filed with sealant and cleaned off flush with the front of the panels once all the panels have been fitted. (If using a wetseal profile kit please refer to the instructions provided within kit). 5. If end cap profiles are being used then these should be fitted to the outer edges of the panel now. 6. Apply a generous amount of adhesive in snakes to the panel and fit into place ensuring that the edge of the panel is inserted into the internal corner and a good seal achieved. 7. Repeat sections 2-6 for the second panel. *Wetseal only available in white pvc *Bottom Profile only available in SAA
