However, northern hemisphere trade is forecast to dip percent due to weak demand and limited supplies. Southern hemisphere pear trade is expected to remain about the same as last year. Exports of U.S. pears are expected to decline 4 percent due to lower demand and smaller exportable supplies. Grapes Northern hemisphere grape production is estimated to be percent higher and trade is expected to be about 5 percent more than last year. Southern hemisphere grape production and trade are forecast to remain about the same as last year due to weakening demand, more alternative fruit choices, and increased competition.
