Goal 1: Design KPI 1: % of signatories with documented policies and procedures for evaluating and procuring packaging using the SPGs or equivalent. 9. Does your company have documented policies and procedures for evaluating and procuring packaging using the SPGs or equivalent? 10. Of the types of packaging existing at the beginning of the reporting period, what percentage had been reviewed using the Sustainable Packaging Guidelines (SPG) by the end of the reporting period? 1 Have any new types of packaging been introduced during the reporting period? 1 Provide details of policies and procedures For procuring new packaging components, we have SOP 2-20 - Exhibit 2 - Packaging Material Evaluation Form. This covers the assessment of new components. It covers the reason for evaluation, product implications, tests and trial results and recommendations. Existing packaging items will be reviewed. A packaging technologist has been hired and this new position will bring more focus to the review of packaging items. A Packaging Design Checklist for all NPD and Existing Packaging has been set up and is now in use. 0 % If yes, of the new types of packaging introduced during the reporting period, what percentage have been reviewed using the Sustainable Packaging Guidelines (SPG) by the end of the reporting 50 % 13. Ensure Checklist (Appendix D) understood and used for all new NPD and packaging changes Reissue revised policy and procedure for procuring packaging for both in-house and third party manufacturers and ensure all Supply Chain and Product development teams are aware of the policy/procedure. 100% NPD have SPG checklist completed as part of launch Checklist now being used on new product development and packaging changes. Copy of Sustainable Packaging Guidelines resent to Procurement to remind them about this guide/reference. A Procurement tracking log is now in place to capture initiatives. Existing Packaging material evaluation form completed for each new packaging component. Packaging design checklist now being used by packaging technologist for new product development. To use the SPG checklist developed for the APC in the revision of current packaging and development of new products and be a requisite for Gate 2 approval. Review of existing packaging noted as one of the objectives. Incorporation to gate paper did not happen. SPG checklist incorporated into Packaging design checklist. Chairman for APC committee appointed March 2015. New members in place. Regular meetings held.

14. Describe any constraints or opportunities that affected performance under this KPI The planned incorporation of the SPG review into the gating process could have some issues. The level of their technical knowledge in packaging will make this difficult. The SPG review is now included in the packaging design checklist. The packaging technologist will manage this review. Goal 2: Recycling KPI 3: % signatories applying on-site recovery systems for used packaging. 15. Do you have on-site recovery systems for recycling used packaging? at all facilities/ sites at some, but not all facilities/ sites 16. Please indicate your progress this year towards achieving your annual targets and milestones for KPI 3 3. 4. 5. Ensure all Vitaco Supply Chain and development team utilise the "buy recycled" policy when defining product innovation/renovations. Implement improved rate of recycling on site in factory Implement improved rate of recycling on site in Australian office. 3% YOY improvement in recycled packaging Ensure use of recycling logos on all consumer packaging where appropriate as reviewed, and on new products. Policy in place for inner cartons and corrugated cases from 2014. East Tamaki, Auckland, NZ manufacturing plant has existing on site recycling facilities for collection of post consumer packaging from staff. Print toners are not being recycled. Will have to identify a point person in Australia who can work on this. Their current photocopiers are not from Fuji Xerox. Fuji Xerox has a good program for recycling print toners. 175 tonnes of materials recycled this year compared to 108 tonnes for same period last year. An increase of 62%. All new products have included logos where appropriate. Current packaging will be reviewed with artwork updates. Artwork signoff checklist has a section on recycled logos so that this will not be missed. 6. Reduction of waste, target of 15% reduction in waste going to landfill over three years. Waste to landfill increased 41% compared to prior year. Cause of increase for investigation. 17. Describe any constraints or opportunities that affected performance under this KPI

KPI 4: Signatories implement formal policy of buying products made from recycled packaging. 18. Does your company have a formal policy of buying products made from recycled packaging? Please explain why not We do have this as a company preference and initiative, however, it is not documented so cannot call in "formal". 19. Is this policy actively used? 20. Please indicate your progress this year towards achieving your annual targets and milestones for KPI 4 Develop and publicise Vitaco policy on "Buy Recycled" in our procurement system by group. Ensure all Vitaco Supply Chain and development team utilise the "buy recycled" policy when defining product innovations/renovations. Policy, while not documented, is already in place and practised for inner cartons and corrugated cases. Practice in place for inner cartons and corrugated cases from 2014. 2 Describe any constraints or opportunities that affected performance under this KPI Goal 3: Product Stewardship KPI 6: % signatories with formal processes to work collaboratively on packaging design and / or recycling. 2 Does your company have formal processes in place for collaborating with other companies or organisations on improved packaging designs and/or recycling which aims to reduce or eliminate waste? Provide details of policies and procedures (including names of policies/ procedures) As per our Environmental policy, Vitaco aspires to integrate sustainable environmental practices into daily activities to promote a sustainable future. On this journey we engage the hearts and minds of employees and suppliers to improve our operations practices. We are in constant contact with our key packaging suppliers and work collaboratively to come up with initiatives to improve packaging design and recyclability. 23. Please indicate your progress this year towards achieving your annual targets and milestones for KPI 6 Scope project with packaging suppliers to improve recyclability Shift from glascine backing paper to PET was investigated but did not happen because label applicator sensors were not suited to use PET backing. Will review cost implications, ability to collect material and recycling to see if project can be implemented or not. 24. KPI 7: % signatories showing other Product Stewardship outcomes. 25. Please indicate your progress this year towards achieving your annual targets and milestones for KPI 7 Continue to review packaging formats at new products Gate meeting. Done informally at gate meeting. Design concepts discussed and challenged, but not officially documented in the likes of an SPG checklist. Newly hired Packaging technologist has set up a packaging design checklist based on the SPG. This checklist will be used as a reference during new product development and review of existing packaging materials. 26. Since the beginning of the reporting period, has your company had any other outcomes related to product stewardship? If yes, please give examples of other product stewardship outcomes Review case packing configuration of 100g bars. Find an alternative that will improve pallet utilisation. A new configuration has been identified but transport trial is still being organised. Pallet Pattern Review. Objective is to avoid manual repalletising in Australia while still optimising the number of cases per pallet. The difference in the pallet footprints used in Aus (1165 x 1165 mm) and NZ (1200 x 1000 mm) is the issue. Will derive new patterns based on a footprint of 1165 x 1000 mm. Will also look into optimising the height based on the maximum pallet height allowed by the racking system in the Australia warehouse. 3. Case strength safety factors. Case top load strength will be reviewed. Priority will be skus that have had incidents of bulging/collapsing. 4. Bottle weight optimisation. Bottle weights will be reviewed as well as head space. 27. Describe any constraints or opportunities that affected performance under this KPI The hiring of a packaging technologist will help a lot in getting focus to work on these projects. KPI 8: Reductions in packaging items in the litter stream. 28. Please indicate your progress this year towards achieving your annual targets and milestones for KPI 8 Regular review of supply chain considerations that may affect amount and type of packaging used. Engage our supplier base on issues/projects related to packaging and environmental performance. UHT packaging have refund statement that aims to reduce litter. Case volume utilisation to be reviewed. Material downgauging possibilities will be investigated. Alternative to BBP1000 and CBP095 identified by supplier. Current botte and cap have suppy issues. Alternative to cap made from mould # 091 Current cap has tamper evident tear off seal issue. Identifying a matte film structure for the bar line that will be able to run at optimum speed.

29. Describe any constraints or opportunities that affected performance under this KPI There was no packaging technologist at Vitaco prior to October 2015. Lack of focus and technical knowledge. Packaging technologist is relatively new to the company. Still trying to set up and get organised to work on the various projects.
