Dashboard: Analytics product-related revenue market shares KEY MARKET DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015 Figure 2: Analytics product-related revenue by type, worldwide, 2015 Growth in analytics product-related revenue is modest, despite the growing number of big data deployments that are being announced. Support for Hadoop including the real-time Spark components has been added to most analytics tools. PRODUCT-RELATED SERVICES 34% The introduction of natural language interpretation is allowing for new and less structured data to be included in data analysis. Total 2015: USD2.4 billion Figure 1: Analytics product-related revenue by vendor, worldwide, 2015 SAS Institute 10% Oracle 7% 66% PRODUCT Source: Analysys Mason Figure 3: Analytics product-related revenue by sub-segment, worldwide, 2015 Other 59% Huawei 5% SAP 6% IBM 6% Teradata 6% Network analytics Revenue assurance 16% 21% Total year-on-year growth: 4.2% 63% Business analytics Source: Analysys Mason Source: Analysys Mason 4

Dashboard: Analytics professional services revenue market shares KEY MARKET DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015 An increasing proportion of analytics revenue is coming from professional services. Big data is driving the need to clean and prepare data as part of analytics engagements. Analytics companies are becoming more engaged with underlying data storage, and rationalising data clusters and data sources. MARKET SECTOR DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015 Revenue assurance functions are increasingly performed by nonspecialised products, the market for which has stagnated. Business analytics increasingly supports inbound marketing activities. Network probe vendors are helping to drive network analytics revenue. Overall market growth is higher than we have shown because CSPs are beginning to use open source products that do not attract revenue.
