INSPECTION PROCEDURES AND SEQUENCE Permit # required to order inspections. It is mandatory that subs call for their own inspections. Inspections are performed within 24-48 hours (2 working days). Temporary service (if applicable) Footing inspection Plumbing in slab, if applicable (uncovered) Slab inspection (wire, poly, pier pads, etc.) Sewer (when applicable) Setback verification surveys in zoned areas (excluding the city of Columbiana) o Performed by an Alabama registered land surveyor. o Your job will be placed on hold until the survey is verified for compliance by our office. o If you proceed with construction until this process is complete, you do so at your own expense. o The Shelby County Planning Commission will not approve a variance of this type. o It is your responsibility to ensure that your project meets the setback requirements of the Shelby County Zoning Ordinance.
