Special Processes and Documentation Expediting Planning processes are detailed and closely monitored to ensure that projects progress in line with the desired project time lines and the project plan. Procurement Procurement of material processes ensure the most favoured prices and on-time delivery of required goods and materials. Inward receiving processes ensure that the correct material is purchased and that traceability is evident and recorded. Material certification is scrutinised for accuracy and authenticity prior to acceptance. Management of Service Providers LCV Service providers have been chosen based on the mutually beneficial relationship that currently exists. Service providers are continually assessed on the following criteria: a) Consistency of quality b) On time delivery c) Price d) Technical Support LCVs approved list of suppliers have met the above deliverables consistently on previous projects. In addition, Certificates of Conformance (COCs) and inspection and test reports are readily available and are supplied and included into the quality data book contents for the duration of contracts. Regular supplier audits are conducted in order to ensure that standards are maintained. Transportation and Delivery Details of delivery schedules, packing lists, packing standards and methods are made available where required. Engineering is an activity other than purely manual and physical work which brings about the utilisation of the materials and laws of nature for the good of humanity. - R.E Hellmund,1929 -
