What is Strathcona County? It is a unique specialized municipality, with a mix of rural and urban lifestyles, located on the eastern boundary of the City of Edmonton, the provincial capital. Alberta s Industrial Heartland Association (AIHA) was formed in 1998 as a cooperative effort of the Counties of Lamont, Strathcona, Sturgeon and the City of Ft.
