Fasson Durable Facestocks Engineered for superior durability, printability and overall high performance, Fasson durable facestocks offered with topcoats or print treatments accept traditional flexographic or letterpress printing, as well as variable thermal transfer print. Select the appropriate facestock suitable for your application by reviewing our Facestock Properties Chart. Environmental performance and print processing characteristics are included. Fasson Polyesters Polyester is the dominant facestock used for durable applications due to its high durability, dimensional stability, chemical, scratch and environmental resistance. In particular, Fasson polyesters provide high temperature resistance, and many have UL recognition at a maximum temperature rating of 150 C. Available in a variety of callipers and finishes, Fasson Polyesters come with both print-treatments and proprietary top coats that provide excellent variable information and on-press printability. Fasson Overlamination Films Overlamination films provide resistance to chemicals and abrasion to ensure long lasting protection for printed labels. Our portfolio includes print treated polyesters and polycarbonate films. All have UL recognition, ensuring the final label is a complete UL recognised construction when laminated to a recognised base label. 7
Fasson Polyolefins Polyolefin films are an economic alternative to higher priced PET. These films provide high strength, rigidity, chemical resistance and recyclability. They are also particularly suited to indoor applications. Fasson Outdoor Vinyls Our flexible vinyl facestocks provide dependable performance in a wide range of applications where long-term outdoor durability is required. Suitable for use at moderate temperatures, they also offer resistance to abrasion, chemicals and environmental effects. Fasson Void PET Our Void Polyesters offer a security feature to prevent product tampering. These films leave a pattern or message on the substrate ensuring that the label cannot be re-applied. Standard and customised void designs are available. Fasson Polyimides Our top-coated, ultra-high performance polyimide facestocks have high opacity, excellent tear strength, ultra-high heat resistance and high-dimensional stability. Resistance to the harsh conditions found in soldering operations make these facestocks perfect for labelling circuit boards during the assembly process. Fasson Transfer PVC 50 Cast Our highly-conformable, thin, UL-approved cast vinyl films are ideal for demanding thermal-transfer printed applications over compound curves, complex shapes and rivets. They offer exceptional stability and long-term outdoor durability, even directly exposed to sunlight, and are flame-retardant and selfextinguishing. Available in yellow, white and silver. 8
