ASMEF wins a contract for ADCO-Mender Project With its continuing efforts to win projects while enhancing its prequalification to work with the major oil & gas industry players, Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory have been recently awarded a contract for the design, fabrication and supply of 25 numbers of power supply skids "PSS" by TOZZI SUD Italy where Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Petroleum Operations Ltd. (ADCO), a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is the end user. ASMEF Monthly Newsletter February 2016 Issue ADCO has undertaken projects developing its marginal fields to expand sustainable crude oil production including projects in the Mender field, approximately 240 km south-southeast of Abu Dhabi. The Mender field as it is being developed, will have facilities designed to produce and handle sustainable and technical production from reservoirs Thamma Zone A & B and Lower Bab Mender. The 25 skids are segregated in the Mender field that will have gas stations (GS 1 & 2) where two skids with the dimensions of 20.2 meter (L) x 4.8meter (B) x 4.3 meter (H) with the dimensions of 16.1 meter (L) x 4.8 meter (B) x 4.3 meter (H), Oil Production Well (OPW) where 19 skids with the dimensions of 16.1 meter (L) x 4.8 meter (B) x 4.3 meter (H) and Water Supply Well (WSW) where four skids will be installed. All the 25 power supply skids shall be fabricated in ASMEF s facility in ICAD II, Mussafah, Abu Dhabi. ASMEF continues its road map drawn by the senior management towards providing quality projects to its clients while maintaining schedule and at optimized cost. ASMEF enters into contract with Money Matters for Financial System Enhancement As part of Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory "ASMEF" development plan, a contract was signed today between ASMEF and Money Matters, a division of Granite Resource Service for ASMEF's financial system enhancement with an aim to restructure the financial model and benchmarking similar facilities in order to have better control and be able to plan further cost optimization that places ASMEF among the leading facilities in the UAE as well as the region. On completion of the project, ASMEF shall be able to offer its clients cost effective solutions while maintaining the safety, quality and on time delivery aspects as core values. Money Matters will start the project by reviewing the existing finance and accounting processes, reporting methodology and project accounting practices in the company and will thereafter support the restructuring and implementation of the new process flow as well as facilitating the integration with ERP system to automate the process for future use. Smith- Granite Resource Managing Director have signed the agreement in Ali & Sons headquarter on 15th February 2015 with attendance from both companies management. Atlantic Marine Services Delta 22 arrives at ASMEF yard Atlantic Marine Services Delta 22 arrived in the ASMEF quayside for various work. This includes jacking system guide plate and bracket installation, NDT survey, main deck steel renewal, plate inserting, pipe (CS) renewals. It will thereafter undergo special periodical survey and certifications services by ABS to get it geared up and ready for its new contract. Delta 22 is a jack up accommodation barge designed by Baker Marine. The former name was Arabdrill 22 and was changed to Delta 22 after 2012. ASMEF relationship with Atlantic Marine Services flourishes with another project, the completion of AOS Maintainer I. Ali & Sons Engineering Factory (ASMEF)/ ALLRIG Facility Workshop ASMEF/Allrig one stop shop is taking shape moving forward towards completion by the end of Q1 2016. The shop will provide complete solution to both drilling rigs and jack up platforms. This will enable the yard to provide quality agile services at a low cost amongst the services that will be provided are: inspection, testing & audits, knowledge center, project management & coordination, quayside set up & mobile facilities, equipment & system upgrades, remanufacture, repair & maintenance, design & engineering & parts supply. ESNAAD 222 Retrofit Upon the pre-qualification of Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) ESNAAD awarded the yard a series of maintenance and retrofit projects. The vessel has arrived for berthing in February and will require various work including dock and quay services, general services, inspection and testing, valve overhauling, piping jobs and many more. ESNAAD 222 is an offshore supply ship with a gross tonnage of 1500 tons, length of 65mtrs, beam of 15mtrs and draught of 3.9mtrs. 3
Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) bags EPC contract for two 23.8m Aluminium Crew Boats The EPC contract is for completion of two crew boats wherein the hull was partially completed and shall be handed over to ASMEF to build it to suit the required specifications by the owners. The work shall require extensive design & engineering, procurement, construction, dock/sea trails and delivery of the two multi-task aluminium crew boats, with two high-speed 1450 HP marine diesel engines, two 45 kva auxiliary engines, two reversible type gear boxes each powering fixed pitch propellers (FPP) delivering speed in excess of 23 knots. In addition to a large cargo deck, the vessel features 20 HP bow thrusters that allow a stable offshore performance, all done in-house utilizing ASMEF expertise which was gained over the past few years since the inauguration of the company. ASMEF has developed its 280,000m2 facility that handles diversified business streams including ship repair & new build, rigs & jack ups and oil & gas projects efficiently. The facility is being constantly developed to the highest industry standards to achieve the highest safety, quality and on time delivery goals to meet the clients need. Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) launches two cargo barges for Petrofac As a result of the continued good relationship with Petrofac and the successful track record of various projects, Petrofac awarded ASMEF the contract to build two 104 meters Deck Cargo Barges. The project was awarded on the 15th of October 2014. Both barges have 30 meters breadth, 6.1 meters depth, 4.6 meters draft, 15 tons m2 deck load and 1000mm frame spacing. Each hull is of longitudinal framing while the keel is a flat plate type. The barges also have two skegs improved stability and two signal masts. The steel cutting for the two barges started on 5th February 2015. The first barge, Hull 10 was completed on 5th September 2015 while the second barge, Hull 11 was on 24th October 2015. Both deck cargo barges were built in ASMEF s 280,000m2 yard in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The facility handles diversified business streams including ship repair, new build, rigs, jack-ups and Oil & Gas projects efficiently and is being constantly developed to the highest industry standards to achieve the highest safety, quality and on time delivery goals to meet the clients needs. Petrofac Emirates awards ASMEF Fabrication work for the UZ 750 Project This new award from Petrofac Emirates complements the long term relationship established between both parties since the start of the prestigious UZ 750 project wherein ASMEF had previously completed various works for Petrofac with the latest two cargo barges delivered in 2015.
