Capabilities Thermal Spray Coatings Thermal spray coating is a surface treatment method to form coating film after melting the thermal spray material using combustion energy (oxygen, hydrogen, acetylene, and propane) or electric energy and moving the melted particles to the parent material. >Thermal spray material The materials for thermal spray coating are metal, nonmetal, cermet, ceramic, carbide, plastic, and their composite and the coating may be performed using the material same with the parent material to grow the parent material. The materials for thermal spray coating consist of wire and powder depending upon the shape and the thermal spray coating device shall be used to meet the materials. >Specific features Film formation is possible on all kinds of materials (metallic, nonmetallic, ceramic, and organic materials) The kinds of the materials for thermal spray coating is diverse (metal, alloy, ceramic, plastic, and complex material) Various different kinds of film may be formed. The coating is not limited to the size of the product. Film formation speed is very high. Field work is easy. Deformation of parent material is small. Working process is simple. Powder Flame Spraying Process Powder spray is the method to coat with powder material using oxygen and fuel gas as the heat source. Acetylene is mostly used as the fuel gas and oxygen, propylene, and propane is also used depending upon the device used. >Specific Features About 0.51mm of thin coating thickness is suitable. Surface hardening for steel or cast iron The temperature of the flame is about 3,100 and the dispersion speed of melted particles is 50 60m/sec. Capabilities HVOF Spraying Process The HVOF(High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) thermal spray coating is classified into DJ Hybrid System using gas and WokaStar/WokaJet System using liquid fuel, depending upon the fuel to be used. In case of gas type DJ system, oxygen is uses as the primary gas and propane and hydrogen is used as the secondary gas, the temperature of the flame is about 3,100, the dispersion speed of melted particles is as high as 2,100m/sec; adhesion strength is high and porosity is low. As the deposition efficiency is highly excellent, the loss of thermal spray coating material may be minimized. ( 0.7% of porosity and 12,000 16,000psi of adhesion strength) This device is especially suitable for thermal spraying coating with metallic powder such as tungsten carbide and chrome carbide and the most excellent coating may be obtained compared with any of other thermal spray coating device. Plasma Spraying Process In case of plasma spraying, the gas is ionized into electrons, neutrons, and protons to form plasma using high- when the ionized plasma combines again, and the frequency electric arc, 16,500 of high temperature is generated coating material forms coating film by the 650m/sec of dispersion speed. >Specific Features The temperature of the flame is at least 16,500 and the dispersion speed of melted particles is as high as 650m/sec. Thermal energy is concentrated and the sustainability of arc is favorable. For the most reliable deposition for thermal spray coating, metal, nonmetallic carbide, oxide, boride, nitride, and cilicide may be used to organic plastic and glass, Higher quality of coating may be obtained compared with oxygen-acetylene method, all kinds of materials may be used in coating, and oxidation is low. This is the method to get the highest quality among the ceramic coating devices. The properties values such as adhesion strength, elasticity coefficient, and rupture coefficient of coating layer are high.
Capabilities Rokide Spraying Process In case of Rokide Spray Coating, oxygen and acetylene burns in the specially designed chamber, rod type ceramic material is fed and melt by the 3,100 of temperature and expanding flame, the melted particles are sprayed at high speed by the expansion of the gases and compressed air, and dense ceramic coating film is formed. The dispersion speed of melted particles is 170m/sec. >Specific features This is the only ceramic coating device in rod type rather than power type. The facility is significantly simple compared with plasmaa spraying facility. Carrying is convenient for easy field work. Thicker coating is possible compared with plasma spraying type (max. 2.0mm). The length of the rod is limited and continuous work is impossible. Wire Spraying Process Flame Spray Wire Process is also known as Metallizing and wire-type material is used with oxygen-fuel gas (acetylene and propane) as the heat source. In this method, wire type material is sent to the nozzle of the gun by the air turbine (14E Gun) driven by air and 5K Gun driven by an electric motor, is melt by the flame of oxygen-fuel gas, and is sprayed to the parent material to form a coating layer. >Specific features Generated energy is efficiently used. High-efficiency and high-quality coating effect Coating thickness: 0.7mm 2.5mm Particle velocity: 150m/sec Temperature of flame: 3,100
