We are looking for an expert student support and student development practitioner who will collaborate effectively with Rock Creek Campus and College-wide programs in support of equitable student success. Responsibilities/Duties: Typical Job Role and Responsibiltiies 1.Supervises professional staff, classified staff, technical/support, and/or student staff. Evaluates and oversees the development of professional development plans and goals for assigned staff in accordance with good management practices, campus policies, and college bargaining agreements. Hires, evaluates, trains, disciplines and recommends dismissal of staff as necessary. 2.Provides leadership in planning, implementing, evaluating, and modifying multiple student service programs, processes, and operations related to assigned areas of responsibility; interprets and applies federal and state mandated guidelines. Plans, implements, administers, and evaluates related projects and services impacting the college. 3. Establishes, monitors, evaluates, and modifies processes, procedures, and/or standards, ensuring alignment with the College's mission, values, goals, and objectives, as well as all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Monitors programs to ensure compliance with applicable accrediting bodies. Plans, organizes, administers, and manages processes and operations related to assigned areas of responsibility; interprets and applies federal and state mandated guidelines. Plans, implements, administers, and evaluates related projects and services impacting the college. 4.Serves as a liaison to applicable external agencies, internal departments, and applicable educational institutions representing the College with respect to student services processes and procedures. 5.Develops and implements improvements to services and programs for the College at the campus and District levels, which involves working closely with Deans and upper management to identify student needs. 6.Oversees the maintenance of a variety of student and program records and information in assigned areas of responsibility.
7.Oversees the development, implementation, and reporting of Outcome and Assessment Programs for areas of supervision. Serves as liaison to student service departments for Program Review. 8.Oversees the development and facilitation of information sessions, presentations, and/or workshops related to assigned areas of student services, which may include: recruitment events and materials, high school outreach programs, new student orientation, campus tours, resource events, outreach, and/or other related areas. 9.Responds to and resolves student behavioral concerns, including disciplinary and health/ safety issues. Responds to and resolves student, faculty, and/or staff grievances and complaints. 10.Develops and administers budgets in assigned areas of responsibility; implements and allocates resources following budget approval; approves expenditures. 11.Evaluates and communicates the impact of potential legal or regulatory changes on the College. 12. Advises and responds to questions from College departments and external agencies regarding complex issues or policies impacting assigned programs and services. 13.Manages specific programs at the campus in order to increase enrollment by providing specialized services for specific populations within the area, which may include developmental education students, single parent, and/or other identified populations. 14.Positions in this classification may perform all or some of the responsibilities above and all positions perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications To be considered for this position, your application materials must show how you meet the following requirements: - Master's Degree in student affairs, student personnel administration, education, educational leadership, public administration, or other related field. - Three (3) years of experience leading and coordinating the work of other staff, preparing and monitoring budgets, and performing program planning and administrative work in the area of student services or student support programs in higher education.
