ATCP 60.08(5) Water Quality Testing New language Dairy Plant must sample producer s water supply whenever the producer installs, alters or repairs the water supply system. Dairy plant operator must sample transported water supply ATCP 60.08(6) Recirculated Water Codifies that the dairy plant operator tests the recirculated water at least semi-annually 9

ATCP 60.10(6)& (7) Review of Plans New language requires a plan be submitted for installation, reconstruction or substantial alteration of a milkhouse, milking parlor or dairy farm water supply system no longer limited to the bulk tank and milking system. Requires the installer to provide the milk producer and department with a signed certification after milking equipment installation is complete Requires the milk producer to post a copy of the plan in the milkhouse for at least 12 months ATCP 60.11(4)(g) Codifies that the dairy plant shall test the recirculated water supply in a milk producer s plate cooler, tube cooler or bulktank at least every six months 11
ATCP 60.16 Modifies language regarding milk producer disputes of rejected milk to be more in line with PMO requirements ATCP 60.18 Monthly Testing The dairy plant has 7 days in which to report test results to the department The dairy plant must perform a confirmatory test for immediate response results within 7 days and report the confirmatory test result to the department within 3 days 12
ATCP 60.19 Drug Residue Testing Testing must be completed within 72 hours after collecting the milk from the farm ATCP 60.20 Monthly Testing Eliminates the optical somatic cell count test and adds the electronic somatic cell count test Sheep milk is now required to be tested for SCC using a direct microscopic somatic cell count or an electronic somatic cell count (just like cow milk) 13
ATCP 60.235 Raw Milk Sales Prohibited Licensed milk producer or an individual who is a bona fide owner of the milk producer, if the milk producer is a legal entity Employees Family member or nonpaying household guest Incidental Sales ATCP 69- Buttermakers and Cheesemakers Clarifies current professional licensing requirements Gives license applicants more options for meeting training and experience requirements 14
ATCP 80.54 Dairy Plant Records Records may be kept in electronic form, with or without hard copy printouts, if the electronic records are readily accessible AND the plant maintains a secure electronic back up ATCP 82 Milk Haulers License not required for a person who DRIVES a bulk milk tanker vehicle solely as an employee of a person who holds a license for the tanker Inserts PMO language regarding reciprocity of Grade A permits issued to Tankers. Permits are reciprocal, but tankers operating in WI require a WI Bulk Milk tanker license Permit ID Number and state that issued it must be on displayed on both sides of the tanker minimum acceptable lettering size is 2 15
ATCP 82 Milk Haulers No longer requires that milk be weighed or measured for payment purposes at the farm No longer requires that samples of milk used for payment purposes be collected at the farm unless the milk is collected from the farm bulk tank Requires that a bulk milk tanker be re-sanitized if it hasn t been used for more than 96 hours after last being sanitized Codifies the four hour pump/hose wash requirement Codifies that A Grade A Bulk Milk Tanker Cleaning Facility requires a Grade A Permit No more than 200ppm chlorine in sanitizing solution QUESTIONS???? 16
