Endress+Hauser - working with you every step of the way Endress+Hauser is a major supplier of measurement instrumentation and inventory control systems for monitoring and controlling bulk liquids during processing, transportation and storage. At your terminal or tank farm, this includes design, production, installation and servicing of instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems. Endress+Hauser has the largest installed base of instrumentation throughout terminals and tank farms worldwide. The loading, off loading and storage of liquids at port terminals require detailed information on quantities and mass. This requires the most accurate level, flow and pressure as well as temperature measurement. Endress+Hauser offers state-of-theart level measurement instruments, such as highly accurate radar and servo technology. However, to reach standard volume or even to easily compare mass figures, temperature, crude oil density, strapping tables, expansion functions and more should be considered. An Endress+Hauser flow measurement system together with an Endress+Hauser tank gauging system allow you to manage and optimize your inventory. 3

Flow Measurement Solutions Endress+Hauser offers flow measurement solutions for custody transfer in various applications within the oil and gas industry, including: Offshore platforms FPSOs Ship/truck/rail wagon loading and off loading Pipelines Well servicing Refineries Gas plants Tanker loading and off loading The loading and off loading of a crude oil tanker or a refined products tanker involves a large transfer of high value. Consequently, a decrease in the uncertainty of only 0.1% results in huge savings and a short pay back time. Endress+Hauser s Promass Coriolis mass flow meter allows you to enjoy these benefits by increasing the accuracy in your measurement. The large size Promass makes it possible to replace older types of mechanical meters, such as turbines and positive displacement (PD) meters. Promass provides direct mass measurement and is independent of changes in density and viscosity. It is small in size, requiring only a small footprint. Additional support is only needed for its weight, making replacement very easy and limiting additional costs for installation. Promass installation on an existing jetty replacing an old turbine meter and filter. 4

What are the benefits of Coriolis mass flow measurement? Load the right mass Promass provides a direct and highly accurate mass measurement for loading and off loading. This is due to the fact that all Endress+Hauser mass flow meters are calibrated on an accredited test rig with hydrocarbons that have the same characteristics as the hydrocarbons that are measured by the flow meters in customers applications. Promass is also calibrated and approved by NMi for bidirectional use, meaning that Promass can be used for loading and off loading in the same set up. SPSE (Société du Pipeline Sud Européen) prover used for the oil calibration of Promass Coriolis mass flow meters. Reduce time in the harbor As soon as the tanker enters the jetty, loading or off loading can begin. When finished, the mass measurement is immediately available and the customer can, in turn, immediately produce the Bill of loading. As a result, the amount of time the tanker is in the harbor is greatly reduced. Also, the faster the tanker leaves, the more hours available for other tankers at the harbor. Reduce the number of claims Every loading contract includes a paragraph about the difference between onshore figures and tanker figures. Typically, a difference of only 0.3 % is acceptable. If the discrepancy is larger, the buyer can make a claim which can often delay payment. None-stop, continuous operation no need for reproving on site Integrated advanced diagnostics allow for constant monitoring of the long-term stability of the meter. For this reason, no on site proving station is required. When there s a need for online proving, the Promass Coriolis, with high turn down of up to 1:1000, allows on-line proving with small size and affordable piston provers on site, even for high flow rates. A metering station with Coriolis requires no straight runs and no flow conditioner or strainer, allowing for minimum space requirements and maximum cost savings. The small size and weight requirements allow for a full size metering station with an integrated prover to be positioned even on a small size jetty. Therefore, bidirectional proving can be carried out during ship loading and off loading. Life cycle cost savings Promass Coriolis mass flow meters operate maintenance free. Products Promass Coriolis mass flow meter The robust Promass Coriolis mass flow meter measures mass flow and density of liquids, gases and liquefied gases (LPG, LNG) for fiscal and custody transfer purposes. PTB and NMi approved, according OIML R 117 class 0.3 and API Chapter 5, Section 6. It counts mere drops reaching over 200,000 BOPD in tandem, exceeding 400,000 BOPD. Promass is independent of viscosity and has a stable K factor. No moving parts, no additional devices, no inlet section and independent of process vibration. Temperature range from -200 C to 350 C, covering all applications. Omnigrad temperature transmitter Omnigrad is a compact temperature assembly providing high reliability and excellent performance in harsh industrial environments. The transmitter, with backlit illuminated display, features HART or FOUNDATION Fieldbus communications with dual sensor input for resistance thermometers, thermocouples and resistance and voltage transmitters. Sensor breakdown information and backup, drift alarm and corrosion monitoring avoids shut downs and ensures high process availability. Cerabar S pressure transmitter As one of the safest pressure transmitters on the market, the Cerabar S absolute pressure transmitter offers unique technological innovations for high-end pressure measurement. It offers an intelligent operating and device concept and undergoes strict DKD calibration. It also provides PROFIBUS, FOUNDATION Fieldbus and HART communications. Flow computer Since the transfer of product is in volume, mass measurement must be converted to volume. a flow computer is used to caculate the GOV (gross observed volume) and GSV (gross standard volume) at standard conditions. Tank Gauging Solutions Endress+Hauser offers a complete choice of technologies so that you are able to decide on the right tank gauging system for your individual application. Radar tank gauging The Micropilot series of radar instruments provide non-contact level measurement, and state-of-the-art electronics provide high reliability and a choice of accuracy for the given application. Servo tank gauging The Proservo level gauge utilizes high accuracy servo technology to provide primary level measurement, and its data handling capabilities allow measurement and transmission of spot or average temperature, pressure, interface level, density and alarms. Mechanical tank gauging Mechanical level devices are often referred to as 'float and tape tank gauges' due to the manner in which the product level is measured (or gauged). Simple mechanics provide an economical and reliable design that has changed very little over the past 50 years. Tankvision Visionary in concept Architecture Tankvision - Tank Scanner The Tankvision Tank Scanner connects multiple tank gauges via one field-loop. It can handle a maximum of 15 tanks. Several gauge protocols are supported. Most used are: Serial Modbus Sakura V1 Optionally, the Tank Scanner can be equipped with a full set of tank inventory calculations. The calculations are based on various International Standards, such as API, ASTM, IP and many others. It is possible to do full conversion from level to TOV, GOV, NSV, weight and mass, etc. with many special corrections such as S&W, CTSh, floating roof, LPG vapor, etc. A total of more than 85 different methods are implemented in exact compliance with the relevant documents and standards. As stated earlier the, Tank Scanner can be used stand-alone for small tank farms or be integrated into a large system for use in refineries. Tankvision - Data Concentrator The Data Concentrator is the enhanced solution for large tank farms and refineries (hundreds of tanks). It collects the data of several Tank Scanners and allows the ability to reconcile and totalize tank data of many or all tanks. The Grouping Function enables you to create both static and dynamic groups. Static Groups with fixed Tank membership, while in dynamic groups the tank membership can be defined on basis of real-time tank data. These groups are a single access point to tanks and help the operator(s) to have an easy overview of the inventory of your tank farm. Tankvision Host Link The Host Link enables you to connect your inventory system via modbus to your DCS/PLC system. All measured and calculated data, complete with status and measured units, are available for the host computer system for control, automation, logistical or administrative purposes. If necessary, multiple Host Links can be deployed. Each Host Link unit is completely independent of the others. Using the Host Link, the data map can be fine-tuned exactly to your needs. Host Links are already available with modbus, both serial and TCP/IP. This is an ideal solution for connection to computer systems of customers or suppliers. 10

Integration Integration to PLC/DCS systems Tankvision Inventory Management system connects to terminal software and DCS systems. A dedicated OPC server provides data to any process control system that supports an OPC client interface, including DCS/PLC and SCADA systems. The Micropilot M differs from the typical mechanical float switch because it is a continuous measurement solution that can be used on various tank types, including floating roof tanks. The Micropilot M offers you the benefit of continuous monitoring, allowing your operators to check the gauge status at any time and monitor the gauge s operation for deviation from the primary level device. In addition, the Micropilot M only requires two-wire power, making it an easy replacement solution for overfill protection. Liquiphant is a cost-effective solution for overfill protection and was the first level switch to receive SIL certification, an international standard for operational safety. Liquiphant is the perfect and proven retrofit for float switches with an installed base of approximately 1,500,000 units worldwide. 12
