15 Steam Turbine Our target is to reach measurable result for our client FE Analysis of a crack in HP inner-casing Defect: Crack 20mm deep at 180 FEM Result: Analysis shows that a singular event was the reason for the crack (cold steam on hot casing) Casing can remain in operation Monitoring of temperature difference

17 Generator H 2 -shaft sealing - is there any improvement possible? Situation The H 2 -shaft sealing is complex and fault-prone During the manufacturing process of steel/ white alloy seal rings has many time lacks of babbit fusion A lot of parameter influence the life time of seal rings like seal oil pressure, mass flow, vibration etc. A fault of the seal ring reduce the availabilty of the plant and reduce the profit
