A PROUD FAMILY OWNED AUSTRALIAN BUSINESS NOW IN ITS THIRD GENERATION. Founded from humble beginnings in Brisbane in 1969, Kemlan Industries is today one of the world s leading specialist fireplace design and manufacturing companies. Proud to have remained family owned and Australian made, every Kemlan fireplace is crafted to exacting standards of quality, reliability, and innovative design supported by outstanding service. AUSTRALIAN FIRES DESIGNED FOR AUSTRALIAN CONDITIONS Australia has very different climatic conditions and wood species compared to New Zealand, North American and European countries. Wood in Australia is hardwood gum such as ironbark which burns long and extremely hot. New Zealand, North America and Europe burn softwood pine species. The Australian climate and wood require different design parameters that Kemlan have successfully provided since 1969. QUICK HEAT WHEN YOU NEED IT AND WHEN YOU WANT IT. Kemlan s design technologies ensure our heaters pass the most current, stringent Australian emission and efficiency standards and importantly react to conditions that are more variable as seasons can change from warm to extremely cold very quickly. Sunny days and very cold nights are a common characteristic of the Australian winter climate. Unlike imported heaters, designed only for the slow long heat required for long consistently cold winters, Kemlan heaters let you put your foot on the accelerator (so to speak) for rapid heating when you need it most. ROBUST CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN Australian hardwoods demand a robust heater which is why Kemlan heaters are all made with 6mm Australian steel with a firebrick lined base and advanced PYROTEK ceramic baffle. Our ideal mix of firebrick and steel produce Australian perfection compared with many overseas brands made with thinner steel and firebrick that inhibits increasing heat output when you need it. CLEAN TECHNOLOGY MEETING THE STRINGEST EMISSIONS REQUIRED BY AUSTRALIAN COUNCILS. Kemlan heaters utilise square, large surfaced secondary air tubes that allow air to be injected into the top of the firebox, burning the smoke completely plus providing a spectacular visual effect of dancing flames at the top of the firebox. Most importantly this achieves clean emissions at the top of the chimney to comply with today s environmental standards. AUSTRALIAN FACTORY KEEPING ALL YOUR SPARE PART REQUIREMENTS NOW AND IN TO THE FUTURE. In slow combustion heaters, secondary air tubes (whether made in stainless steel or mild steel) are never warranted by manufacturers and will ultimately burn out requiring replacement. As an Australian manufactured Brand, Kemlan makes the servicing and replacement of any parts as simple and inexpensive as possible for the greater long term enjoyment of your heater. LARGE NETWORK OF AUTHORISED DISTRIBUTORS THROUGHOUT AUSTRALIA With nearly 50 years experience, Kemlan has developed a proven and strong distribution network to service our product and customers. We highly recommend customers purchase from these authorised dealers who provide rigorous and complete customer service. Purchase of a product online is strongly not recommended, as service, safety and customer satisfaction cannot be guaranteed. WHEN FINDING THE RIGHT HEATER TO SUIT YOUR NEEDS, LOOK FOR THESE ICONS TESTED AND STATED EFFICIENCY AND EMMISSION FIGURES CAN BE CONFUSING AND MISLEADING TO CONSUMERS All Kemlan heaters meet AS 2918 installation and AS 4013 and AS 4012 standards for emissions and efficiency. We and our authorized dealers recognize though that figures alone are not representative of a positive experience and an expert dealer should recommend a the right heater based on their understanding of your requirements plus in depth knowledge of how a heater works. Figures no matter how good or bad should not be the basis for choosing a heater. All comparative Kemlan and competitive product figures can be compared on the website www.certifiedheaters.com.au.
3 4 5 2 1 6 TIMBER. IT S RENEWABLE, IT S SUSTAINABLE, IT S LOOKING AFTER YOU AND THE PLANET. In terms of limiting net greenhouse gas emissions, firewood is generally more favourable for domestic heating than other nonrenewable fossil fuel sources of energy. Australian Greenhouse Office Life Cycle Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Domestic Woodheating One of the best ways to address climate change is to use more wood, not less. Wood is simply the most abundant, biodegradable and reusable material on the planet. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, Washington Times, January 2006 1. Burning wood in an efficient Jetmaster open fire or a Kemlan slow combustion wood heater produces efficient home heating energy. 2. Carbon dioxide is created by burning wood in fireplaces, bush fires and decomposition. No energy is utilised when wood decomposes or is burnt in bush fires. 3. Carbon dioxide is absorbed by trees when growing. 4. Oxygen is released into the atmosphere resulting in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. 5. Jetmaster supports the Firewood Association of Australia. Firewood merchants accredited by the F.A.A are able to supply sustainable dry fuel for use in efficient approved fireplaces. Use of sustainable dry fuel will not cause adverse air quality. 6. Burning fossil fuels such as coal fired electricity, oil and gas adds to greenhouse gas emissions.
